Gratitude for today
 

Hi all
Hope all are well
I was grateful for an aa meeting this morning which was a great meeting. If I was still drinking, attending a meet g would be the furthest thing from my mind. It is now an essential tool in the recovery box

​​​​​Me and my friend have just spent three hours on the local park with my new football goal doing fitness drills. It was thoroughly enjoyable and something new and novel. Again, I would never think to do that if I were still drinking
I'm going to pick my daughter up now she's coming for a sleepover, this is also a new fun thing to do now I'm not drinking

Small things, that build and weave there way into a new way of living. It's brilliant

To those still struggling, there's a way out, keep the faith. We're all in this together 😊

Anna it feels different for me this time, like I learned from last relapse and now have aa in the mix for support too
Living life on life's terms is a huge learning curve but a necessary one
