Gratitude for today
Hi all
Hope all are well
I was grateful for an aa meeting this morning which was a great meeting. If I was still drinking, attending a meet g would be the furthest thing from my mind. It is now an essential tool in the recovery box
Me and my friend have just spent three hours on the local park with my new football goal doing fitness drills. It was thoroughly enjoyable and something new and novel. Again, I would never think to do that if I were still drinking
I'm going to pick my daughter up now she's coming for a sleepover, this is also a new fun thing to do now I'm not drinking
Small things, that build and weave there way into a new way of living. It's brilliant
To those still struggling, there's a way out, keep the faith. We're all in this together 😊

Thanks both
Anna it feels different for me this time, like I learned from last relapse and now have aa in the mix for support too
Living life on life's terms is a huge learning curve but a necessary one
