Anna 01-04-2020 04:18 PM

Hi SuperMario,

How can we help you? What's going on this evening?

I had to remove your phone number because it's not safe to post that on the boards, but please post and talk to us.

Maybe someone is volunteering their time and answering the phones, try calling them!

HeadEast 01-04-2020 04:25 PM

Hey SuperMario! We're here for you!!!!

gypsytears 01-04-2020 04:27 PM

What’s going on? I know posting isn’t the same as hearing a voice but at least it’s a connection.

ShiftHappens 01-04-2020 04:35 PM

Hoping someone got your number and is talking to you SM.

Let us know how you are doing when you can.

SuperMario 01-04-2020 04:47 PM

Please can just one person ring me?

ShiftHappens 01-04-2020 04:51 PM

Maybe theres a man from the UK that can PM you for your number?

If not maybe call AA as someone suggested?

I would but I am in the states. :( I really hope you are ok.

I would suggest that the best person to call is the AA helpline, it will be manned. Better than anyone here for these reasons 1, they are actually sitting there waiting for such a call - they want to help and have volunteered to do so - at whatever time you call, 2, they will either be local to you, or will put you in touch with someone local to you.

I did this after I relapsed, spoke to someone on the phone, and the next day 2 guys came to my flat. OK it took me quite some time to get lasting sobriety again but the phone call was the start of it. 2 years later I still see those guys around - reminds me where I was.

Call them - it’s your best move

If I were you, I'd call the AA 'hotline' and get to a meeting. They will come and pick you up if needed.

SuperMario 01-04-2020 05:14 PM

I don’t want to go to Aa and I don’t need patronising chat I need someone to just talk is that confusing?! Just a chat, oh well, we have international ways to do it now due to technology and I am a bit mad yes because I just want anyone at all to speak to me and that’s it! I wanna scream!

Hi Supermario

By our rules, we can't post peoples phone numbers and we caution our members about phoning people or receiving calls from folks they don't know.

I'm sure you're a lovely person, and I'm sure our SRers responding are lovely people too - but I'm also sure you can see the common sense in this and understand why we have those rules to ensure everyones safety.

Its a well established rule. Nothing personal at all.

You can also use the chat room if you find the forums too slow.

If you really need to talk to someone the Samaritans are free on 116 123. They've put up with me before. Absolute saints mind, so go easy on 'em.

Hope things look a little better today SuperMario.

I would certainly ring you, but not sure what country or area of the world you are in. My mobile plan may not support long-distance to where you are. What I can say is that this forum is full of people who struggle with addiction and have been in your situation before. I will 'go out on a limb' and guess you feel a sense of impending doom. It is a bad place to be in. Keep posting and we can talk you through it!

MythOfSisyphus 01-05-2020 12:28 AM

What country are you in, SuperMario? What time zone?
