NO

I am on Day 266 of my very first sobriety.

If you are an alcoholic, and try to moderate, within a very short time you will be back to your worst days.

I had 2,044 sober days one time, and thought I could have a beer with dinner in a nice restaurant. Before long, I was off on a 3 day bender and it took me a year of on again, off again drinking to finally get sober again.

I'm well over 2,000 sober days again, and I check in here regularly and go to some AA meetings to remind myself that I can't drink like normal a normal person.

I also used to wish this. Then I realized I won the lottery and I was spending all my time regretting that dollar I spent buying the lottery ticket.
