Meltdown in the heat
 

I hit a situation I hadn't planned for. I was going dog walking with someone I had bad blood with when my husband died. I thought I'd put that in the past.
Anyhoo, I'd suggested we meet in this local pub and walk from there without thinking it's too hot to go walking. I was driving there and realised I'd been stupid because all I was thinking about was drinking a pint of wine to cope and relax.
I just screamed like a wild animal with frustration.
I've worked hard for 44 days to not go there.
Sponsor is out and the only meeting I can get to today is CA.
I feel really vulnerable.

Stay close to us, Weev.

I'm here, sober, and just a bit jangly in my nerves. Boy, I appreciate all of you from the bottom of my heart.

Typical, that I thought about having a pint of wine. No glass for me. More like a bucket. Ugh!!!

Back from meeting complete with a 30 day keyring in a lovely white and electric blue. I am very very proud of it: it's on my keyring.

I needed reminding where I'd come from and tonight I got it. I've come a long, long way in 44 days and so have you lot. I just don't see it as the days go by. It's good to be alive and free.

Dear Tankersfull, I just made myself giggle thinking about going to the bar and ordering a tanker full of wine. Because that's what it would be, if I drank. There was never enough alcohol.

I do have lots of numbers of people from meetings. But I just am not sure about calling when I'm in the bonkers like this afternoon. Perhaps I'll call a couple when I'm feeling a bit more normal?
