Getting sick and tired of the one I saw in the mirror helped me to make a firm decision that I was done with the drinking.

Turns out, it was drugs and alcohol making me feel that way.

Yeah. I remember feeling that way. And no matter where I went or what I did - there I was. Gah.

I'm so, so grateful to have finally been relieved of that shame and self-loathing. Stay sober and keep working on your recovery and you will find peace and acceptance with yourself. Commonly known in AA as serenity.

It's not enough to post and run man - come back and talk this out :)
