New here. Not sure where to post my updates.

New on this site and not sure where to up date my progress.
I am on day four today and the body is for sure shocked by me quitting alcohol.
I am sure it is going to take a couple of weeks of feeling like this before I start to feel normal at all.

Before I quit I was drinking about a fifth of vodka a day. Or 2 to 3 bottles of white wine. I have a good relationship with my Dr so I am staying in touch with him in case I start to have dt's or shakes.

It feels good to have 3 days in the bank AF.

Appreciate any feedback and help.

New here. Not sure where to post my updates.

Day 4 has been a tough one. My mind keeps wandering back to the bottle.
I know the outcome if I have a drink, It might be another year before I find my way back to this place. Or maybe never at all the way I was drinking.

I am not sure how long the cravings are going to last but I am not going to drink today. I will worry about tomorrow tomorrow.

Thanks for the support and encouragement.

So happy to have you here asixstring. It really helps to talk things over with those who've been there and understand. You're doing great - and it will get easier.

Yeah, what you said! Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow! All you have to worry about is right this minute, hour day, whatever. No need to project into any future day or time, that'll just make you feel fearful or anxious, right?
Im so glad you're here!
