I thought it was a metaphor also. Glad your ok. Sounds scary.

My insurance company just called me. They heard from the truck driver and he said it was my fault!!! It was NOT my fault. He pulled out in front of me! :dee So now the insurance companies are going to duke it out...:headbange

Did a police officer write a report?

I was so shook up I didn't think to call them. :(

Steely 02-08-2016 11:27 AM

Really glad you were not hurt least. A truck!

Calicofish 02-08-2016 11:33 AM

That would shake me up too. Glad you are not hurt.

When you get your car fixed, maybe you can get a really nice rental (courtesy of insurance) to help soothe the inconvenience.

Oops - just read that your insurance company is fighting over this. That sucks. Makes me think installing a dashcam is the way to go these days.

Let the insurance duke it out hopefully there was cctv but the evidence should back it up

I am so relieved that you are okay and unhurt, least.

Hope that your car is repaired soon.

it's really magical when something goes wrong and our first instinct isn't to pour ourselves a drink.

Great job, least!!!!!

Anna 02-08-2016 12:56 PM

I'm so sorry, Least, how scary for you!

And, darn that the truck driver didn't accept responsibility. Does that mean the insurance companies will split the responsibility? Were there any witnesses?

least 02-08-2016 01:12 PM

There was a car behind me, but didn't think to ask them what they saw. No one else was around. All he said to me was "are you ok?"

mcflurry 02-08-2016 01:14 PM

Glad you're ok, least

Kaneda8888 02-08-2016 01:16 PM

Hey Least as the other have said, no one was harmed which is most important ! Cars can be easily fixed, humans not so easily....take it easy !

In the old days, I would have used that as an excuse to get drunk. Not anymore. I have no desire to drink over it.

I wasn't hurt, but shook up and mad at now having to have my car fixed. :(

Just glad I feel no need to drink. :)

In "the old days" I would have been drunk WHEN it happened :)

Dee74 02-08-2016 01:47 PM

I'm glad you're ok - and I'm sure it will all be sorted out least :)

Oh, no! I'm glad you're alright and not hurt. I'm sorry your car isn't undamaged. Bummer.

Nofearnobeer 02-08-2016 05:44 PM

Well dang...Sorry to hear this... :( Glad you're OK and could walk away...Being hauled off in a box truck with lights is much worse..

bigsombrero 02-08-2016 05:45 PM

Good to hear you are OK, least - wow, what a shake-up indeed! And what a relief that you survived the ordeal and are processing things sober. Thank goodness!
