Midnight - have a nice snuggy weekend in bed and lots of lemon and honey drinks. The utter misery of a bad cold or flu cannot be overestimated :-/ Thanks for the spoiler alert on Star Wars, Sao. That's a nice car. They cost about $17.000 NZD....I just looked it up. Hopefully our business that is in its infancy (more fetal stage, really) might take off one day and I can get something other than a Toyota Starlet with the paint coming off the bonnet. Our other car is a beat up Mitsubishi Diamante. We once had an Alfa and a Saab years ago but they cost too much to fix when something went wrong. |
1 Attachment(s) biminiblue, Olive, I was thinking of suggesting a Subaru BRZ (in some parts of the world sold as a Toyota Scion FR-S) Shabby is quite right to point out that Alfa's can be an expensive marriage but rewarding if looked after PS glad you're not a saint bim - those halos contain dangerous levels of UV |
Terrific shape :-) |
I had to go to the store tonight on the way home to get everything I need to wrap all my gifts and to pick up a toy for the toy drive at work. It was CRAZY in the store and I was there before 5:00 since I left work a bit early today. There were literally alcohol displays from the front of the store to the back. Everything you can imagine from beer to wine to hard liquor. I walked right by all of it numerous times with no other choice but I didn't grab any. I'm now home liquor free with all the ingredients for a delicious breakfast tomorrow morning. A delicious sober breakfast. Let the sober weekend officially begin! |
Pajama Time!!! :bundance This Potamus is off work until 12/28, woohoo! |
It's dinnertime, and then I'll catch up on the thread. |
. Hey Jen ~ We stick with Vehicles supported by local, competent Dealers. So, choices like Mazda were non-starters. No Dealers. Da Wife's new, loaded 'Titanium' Model Ford Escape is mighty sweet. Our kinda Ground Clearance vs. a Suby. Also, a 'full size' 2" Trailer Receiver that can accept all kinds of Bike Racks, etc.. Manageable height Roof Racks for loading a Kayak. Full-time AWD that got us up to a Rocky Mountain Lodge @ ~11,000' for an Alcohol-free Lunch today. See below... - Ford Escape - - Kayak ~ Accessory Racks - Nice blue color on that sweet Saloon, Sao! . http://i64.tinypic.com/2wh4aqp.jpg . |
Sao one of my favourite cars due mainly to the original Gran turismo on the playStation was the Mitsubishi gto twin turbo I used to own ppl with that car lol I think it's called the 3000 GT these days here's a 2016 concept version http://i.picresize.com/images/2015/12/18/GOa8C.jpg She's beautiful but I remember hearing the handling isn't all that great for drifting though |
1 Attachment(s) Evening all, Enjoy your trip BigS! Sounds great! Nice one being off for xmas already Sao. Hope your father is on the mend Ruby. Had a lovely Indian takeout! Finally found a nice one in this town. Only funny this side of the water. |

This Aston Martin was in the NZ Herald today. Apparently, it sold in New York last week for a record price...$22 million NZ dollars which is about equivalent to nearly 30 million American. It's rather nice, don't you think? http://s14.postimg.org/i3xfz4vfl/wtf...uction_dec.jpg |
. Nice! When I was a Wee Bastid, the original, tricked-out Aston Martin driven by James Bond was on display locally. Didn't have the famed Ejector Seat. However, it did have a Boot-full of working Effects. Like, the Plumbing that would spray Oil out the Rear Bumper to make pursuing Bad Guys spin out. And, Wheel 'Spinners' that would extent to rip up the Tires of Bad Guy Cars pursuing adjacent. Neato stuff to see for real. Regrettably, Ursula Andress was not around for the Showing... I owned this exact Model and color of Opel GT in the early '80s... - Marina Blue 1970 Opel GT - . |

Cheeseburgers and waffle fries here. Made at home, but satisfied fast food craving. |
I skipped a work party tonight. I felt kind of bad, but I just didn't feel like going. The department is small, and I like everyone, but I just wanted to be home. I didn't give a reason, just said I couldn't. White lie, but I didn't want to say I just didn't want to go. Plus I'm looking hard for another job, and I feel a bit guilty. I love my job, but it's part-time and pays a pittance. I need more money. |
That Opel has an E-Type Jag look about it. Great shape :-) Another mouthwatering post from SP! Love the jeep too. Good for you, MLD :-) |
Currently making tacos here. Picked up some premium fresh salsa at the store and looking forward to taking it for a spin. I've been on a Mexican food kick this week. Been craving spicy! |
