Got some really bad news today and my first thought
 

was to get drunk and forget it. Fortunately, that thought only lasted a couple seconds before I realized it would be a dumb thing to do. I've worked too hard for my sobriety to throw it away over circumstances.

I will stay sober because that's what I really want to do. :)

Sorry about the bad news Least, Drinking would only add to it. Glad you were able to put the AV in it's place so quickly.

That is great. Once you do that enough, you don't even think about drinking in those situations. Then you get a couple of days past it and think, "wow, I didn't even start the dialogue with myself to drink." I always tell myself that no matter what the emotion is, it will pass.
