You can get to day 2 ... I have no doubt. Posting here really helped me the first couple days/weeks. Keep reading and don't be afraid to ask for help. The good people here will not let you down. Good time to start planning for gardening chores!

Good to meet you sobercousin. You sound very ready to do this - we are with you, 24/7.

tsup cuz? welcome

I had to stop when I read this part and reply immediately. From your last post:
If only my AV could be rational and understand all of that

That ain't never gonna happen. As the good Wizard hisself would say, "No never no how..."

That AV is the enemy. And a very dedicated enemy. Rationality and understanding go out the window when it comes to AV.

It's up to you to build up the strength to conquer that rascal. Stick around and pick up some tips.

edit: actually, there was a whole page of posts after that one

Thanks Brain.

I like to think of myself as pretty logical - when I have a dilemma I can lay out the facts and the decision makes itself. I don't have to use any willpower. With alcohol, I don't see an upside and want to stop, yet still have the AV voice that has won for too long now. I'm not sure I've encountered something like this before. Heck, I think my youthful testosterone filled urges I used to have weren't even as strong! ;)

I've gotten some great advice and am taking things one day at a time. It's great to see I have a whole community in my corner for this fight :)
