I find myself here again!
 

Phew it's been a long time since I was last here - I couldn't remember my user name. I had to sign up again. Anyway it's time to have another stab at sobriety again. My health isn't the best but I have cut down to the point I don't get mad withdrawals anymore. That was a frightening experience to say the least.

I've been through numerous channels who all seemed to steer me towards the cutting down route where in reality I want to have another stab at sobriety. I'm sick of living my life like this.

I did have one lady helper who I had a period of abstinence with and we both agreed it did me a lot of good. Unfortunately my circumstances took a turn for the worse and I started up again and I probably haven't had more than a few days off for the last 2 years. Anyway here's to day 1 again!

Thanks for your well wishes. I'm feeling a bit more ready to cope with it this time. As for having a plan - I'm taking it one day at a time at the moment and there is a local centre you can drop in where the people are really supportive. I've also been practising 'mindfulness' which has helped with my mental state. I recommend it if you haven't tried it.
