I can actually answer this question more clearly since I've been through it. I had 2 DUIs one in 2002 and the other in 2004. Misdemeanors fall off after 7 years( California) is where I received mine. If they don't ask you directly about driving history I wouldnt worry about it at all. It's a misdemeanor. I lost my job back in June which was in an office, but I recently got a DUI last month(prompted me to take a good look at myself) and I haven't drank since. Anyhow, I received 2 job offers even with that still pending after my background checks. One of them is a job that requires me to drive from location to location in my own vehicle. They didn't ask if I had any or not. So, unless you've been to prison for a felony I wouldn't worry about it at all!

Wow surprised you got the job with a vehicle? Is it the companies vehicle? Even after the background check?

I thought those jobs were always out of the question for someone that has dui's even in like the last decade

I still haven't heard back, I have a driving under age drinking (under .08 but underage) in 2000, an underage drinking ticket in 2002, a dui in 2006, and a dui in 2012

Not the best record, at least they're all alcohol offenses though so I can easily explain they're from alcoholism, but in big retail corporations like the ones I applied to you can't really explain because they're decided by a huge hr department
