Why do i feel such trepidation
Some days marred with bored stagnation
Find it hard to to motivate
Mingle in , associate .

To myself i commiserate
Wanna hyperventilate
I take a breath reenergise
Alcohol - stigmatised.

I move on up day after 'morrow
Left behind hungover sorrow
My second year with conviction
No longer slave to addiction

I'll live my life gratuitous
Will benefit the 2 of us
The kids are proud , their definition
Good on ya Mum , great decision

Thanks sweetie ;-) I'm so happy . It was a very bumpy ride at times , but i urge others to get through those bumps. You end up on a peaceful smoother road . Your support has been a major factor Dee :D Especially around month 4 with that great advice .

It literally changed my life . Thanks to everyone who has helped me . Without SR i would never had got here . I know that for a fact xxx

I can't believe it's been a year since I was reading about how worried you were about your health. Glad to know you made it and are feeling a lot better. Inspiration for the rest of us to know it's not too late to do something about it as long as we still have our health (relatively). I'm on day 38 which I never thought I'd get to, so glad to know there's hope I can be posting here on my year anniversary. Have a great celebration!

Congratulations Snoozy. I want what you have...an entire year of sobriety endurance. I took note of your thanks to Dee for his support at 4 months. As this was around the time I truly started struggling, I went back and looked at some of your threads. I was so heartened to see members then...still here now...still going strong...no relapses..just perserverance.
