I'm so grateful I'm sober.
 

My surgery is today. It's a radical hysterectomy with hopes that there is no cancer.

I'm shamelessly reaching out to the prayer warriors, positive energy senders and lovers of all things spiritually nourishing. I need you now more then ever. And God knows, I've needed you a lot. :)

Today is the culimination of the last six months of sober work. I finally get to be rid of what started me down this path to begin with. So it's bittersweet in a sense. I feel gratitude for my ill health because it got me sober.

Imagine that.

I so very much look forward to what the rest of my days bring. My intentions include good health, lots of love, spiritual connections and faith .

Today I'm grateful to be an alcoholic. Because without it , I wouldn't have been given you...and you all are my gift.

I wish that it wasn't alcoholism that brought all of us together but I am glad that we all found this melting pot of sobriety.

Dear AO,

You are doing wonderfully well, and you are an inspiration to us all!

I'm with you too our Alpha Girl :) I took you for a walk with me earlier
on the snow packed trails. It's so beautiful and sunny. Keeping you close
in my thoughts.

At birth we boarded the train and met our parents and we believe they will always travel on our side. However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone. As time goes by, other people will board the train; and they will be significant i.e. Our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of our life.

Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum. Others will go so unnoticed that we don't realize that they vacated their seats!
This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, good-byes, and farewells. Success consists of:

Having a good relationship with all passengers...requiring that we give the best of ourselves.The mystery to everyone is: We do not know at which station we ourselves will step down.

So, we must live in the best way - forgive, and offer the best of who we are.
It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty...we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life.
