Starting again
 

hey all.

it's been a rough couple of weeks. long story short, 'moderation' turned into a self-fulfilling prophecy. i drank around my daughter and she has gone to live with her dad. i attempted suicide and spent a week on the psych ward. my heart is broken.

i'm home and i'm sober. i'm going to an AA meeting tonight and i'm terrified. but this time really is it. if i can't turn it around there really is nothing left for me.

thanks so much to everyone who has supported me here. i owe you all a massive debt of gratitude.

i'm sober for good this time.

my priorities right now are sobriety and regaining the trust of my daughter. i let her down so very badly.

i will do anything and everything to make this right.

What you have been through is a lesson for everyone. Why do we think we can moderate and even if we could WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT. I know why I drank and believe me drinking in moderation would just not float my boat!! I am happy you have been able to regain your focus and hope you soon feeling better.

Sooner or later we choose to live in sobriety over drunkenness. It's nice here Ippo. You can do this...as a human being...and as a mother who loves her child : )

Welcome back :) I'm glad to see you. I'm sorry for what happened but I think you will learn a hard but valuable lesson that us lot can't moderate. It only ends in disaster. I hope you take care of yourself and Ofcourse you can do this :) even though your daughters at her dads - you only ever have one mother you to her are irreplaceable. Value yourself - your very much needed.

Ippochick! You are here and doing what is needed. I am glad that you found your way back. I am sorry for all that has gone on with you and your family. Stay close Ippo. Keep walking forward. With time things will start to improve. I know that things seem dark right but know that the light will appear again. Hugs to you Ippo.
