If you aren't hungover this morning, post here

Name one positive thing about not being hungover this morning.

For me - being able to spin around in my chair with my four year old in my lap without getting dizzy and sick. She said "thank you, mommy. that was fun, I love you."

My heart is full and I am at peace.

jazzfish 08-01-2013 05:52 AM

I am happy and able to face the day; my full potential and all opportunities are open to me this morning.

MidnightBlue 08-01-2013 05:55 AM

Happy to get up at 5 a.m. to work on my project, be productive during the day, and still have energy left to hit the gym later. No way I would do it when hangover)

pinkdog 08-01-2013 05:56 AM

That is so wonderful! Did you sing the "soft kitty song" to her? Sobriety rocks! :You_Rock_

Lightning Bug 08-01-2013 05:58 AM

Soft Kitty rocks!! :)

Elisabeth888 08-01-2013 06:14 AM

I'm here! I am glad I can sit here and enjoy a fruit smoothie and read SR.

Grungehead 08-01-2013 06:14 AM

Because I'm not hungover this morning I was able to do a bit of morning meditation. Now I am ready to face the day with a smile of my face. :)

BikerAcct 08-01-2013 06:22 AM

Since I'm not hungover this morning I'm able to enjoy my cup of coffee for what it is, a tasty, refreshing, warm morning drink. Rather than as something I had to have to get my ass moving and make me feel somewhat better.

quitforme79 08-01-2013 06:32 AM

No anxiety! :)

samwitch 08-01-2013 06:38 AM

I'm not hungover this morning, so I'm able to look forward to my day and to deal with my responsibilities instead of hiding from them and viewing the day with dread.

oh, and my eyes don't feel like shriveled up raisins!

Lightning Bug 08-01-2013 06:43 AM

I thought of another one. I am up and doing things and not crapped out on the couch watched my DVRd shows. Or channel surfing!

Elisabeth888 08-01-2013 06:46 AM

I know someone that is hungover today and they are not a happy camper. Of course they want to isolate and feel sorry for themselves. Be glad we are not in that boat today!!!

Even though I feel kinda not too great, I'm not hungover. And thinking how much god awful worse I would be feeling had a got drunk last night.

439trish 08-01-2013 07:48 AM

I am not hungover so I am not starting my day in deficit....instead I slept great, woke up happy and positive, and that just feels so FANTASTIC!

thanks SR for being here, I am finding this place to be so welcoming and supportive,

CHEERS to all of us!!

:thanks

AlisonW 08-01-2013 07:50 AM

Got up early, took the dog for a walk and juiced a big pile of fruit and veggies... No hangover here!!

bloss 08-01-2013 07:52 AM

I am not hungover this morning so I am able to read SR, pet my cats, then take my dog for a nice walk.

Mizzuno 08-01-2013 08:03 AM

No hangover here. I am drinking a nice cup of coffee, and preparing myself for school work today. I would not be able to accomplish anything with a hangover!

Levitz 08-01-2013 08:48 AM

Feel calm and at peace in the morning .
No crappy hangover here. Going to the Fair today.....am able to walk all day no problem.
Another great day

susasober1 08-01-2013 09:05 AM

Towards the end of my drinking I had severe anxiety and head demons once I stopped drinking and started going through withdrawal...it wasn't even a hangover...it was hell on earth!

I have 15 months of sobriety and Today I feel good enough to do just about anything!

Carlotta 08-01-2013 09:09 AM

Add me to the not hangover list :)
I woke up feeling fresh and rested, meditated and now I am ready to tackle the day. It is nice not to be puking first thing in the morning LOL

soberjill 08-01-2013 09:13 AM

It's so wonderful to wake up and not have any memory lapses from the night before, or try to piece together memories from text messages I barely remember!!

Hope4Life 08-01-2013 09:16 AM

Without the hangover that I had every day for years.... I just finished my breakfast while hanging out with you fine folks and will face the day with enthusiasm and vigor. Yard work, washing my 4x4 and doing housework will come easily without the pain of recovering from excessive alcohol consumption.

Lightning Bug 08-01-2013 09:17 AM

We are doing GREAT!!!

Shelpy 08-01-2013 09:26 AM

I am happy to say no hangover! I am moving into my new apartment and thankful to god.

EndGameNYC 08-01-2013 09:27 AM

No hangover. No Tazmanian Devil anxiety. Not deep depression. No vomiting. No making up lies to cancel my appointments. No reaching for a half-empty bottle of vodka. No wishing I were dead.

I have a couple of things to do today that I'm not looking forward to, and several things I like doing. If all goes as planned, I'll do all of them.

Eleni58 08-01-2013 09:46 AM

Because I am not hungover this morning, I am not sleeping 12 hours a day anymore ALBEIT I have insomnia and not getting to sleep until 5 a.m. -- I only need 6 hours of sleep a day now!

Nuudawn 08-01-2013 10:02 AM

Just woke up in a city right by the Bay...after watching a beautiful fireworks display last night..sober. Went down into the city and grabbed a coffee whilst watching all the city folk whizzing by in their worlds. People are interesting. Life is interesting. Okay..I am trying to quit smoking...and I did buy a pack..have one...and then gave the rest of the pack to an "unfortunate" picking up cans on the street. Still sober...the smoking thing is a work in progress : )

Soberpotamus 08-01-2013 10:10 AM

Nuudawn, sounds lovely :)

Because I'm not hungover, I'm enjoying a great cup of coffee before getting some reading, writing, exercise and meditation done. Then I'm off to a training class for my volunteer work at the women's shelter. I'd probably not be doing any of this with a nasty hangover.
