I requested a merge. I know it can be done in phpbb, but this board is vBulletin, so I don't know for sure if it's possible.

I 'reported' your thread, btw. :rotfxko

"Rogue weekender"
Coincidently my nickname on one of my infamous benders.

Oh my god I look at your recipe blog and the first thing I see is a Brussels Sprouts recipe. So much hatred lmao. But I'm going to pass it along to my family who love them. :)

Anyway I just wanted to check in since hanging out with you all was so great last weekend. :) I made it through the week SOBER and I'm starting to feel really good, now that the tiredness has mostly passed. I'll be visiting a friend over Easter and there's going to be a party so we'll see how that goes. I'm sure I'm going check SR a lot!

Hope you're all going to have a great weekend! <3

Weasel1966 03-28-2013 02:38 PM

Pearls! That's great! Looking forward to checking in with you this weekend.

I just started the blog yesterday. So I want to add more stuff as I make things.

And B.S. are great!

Ringy ding ding.

Checking in. Have another weekend of airline flights and family time up in the northland. My grandmother (97 years old and still kicking bless her heart) finally sold the old family farm last month. My family and I are going up to move the last things out before the new owners move in. It will be melancholy I'm sure, seeing the old barn one last time, remembering my days as a kid when I got to ride on the tractor with grandpa, etc. He always kept a couple broken down old horses there and we could ride them too.

But the memories will remain. It will be a nice time to reflect, I hope to get some quiet time out in the pasture by myself and think about those happy childhood days once more.

Mecanix your affirmation has caught on, another sober weekend for us all. Looking forward to enjoying it with you all (again) :)

We are having a nice quiet weekend. I'll be buying candies and eggs and hiding them around the house for my grandkids. Will be a change from last year where I drank the weekend away!

Coldfusion 03-28-2013 03:47 PM

This is supposed to be a good weekend to quit drinking (based on astrology and folklore). For me, the most obvious thing is the full moon that just passed. Now is a good time to be done with it!

Marcher13 03-28-2013 04:37 PM

Good on ya Ken. I don't know if I'm your first Australian reader but I'm one of them. :)

Morning all :) have a fab day up early for me :) x

escapist 03-30-2013 07:58 AM

Hi Everyone. I don't know what I am going to do yet. No smoking No drinking. No candy. Lets see. I can still go shopping. I was thinking this morning about things I have done since I gave up the booze and bathrobe lifestyle. I have 4 new pairs of shoes, three dresses, 4 pair of jeans, a new rug for the living room, several new books. All the news coverage about the Pope and Vatican City must have inspired me. I bought a couple of books about Michelangelo. What an intense man! I wish I could paint my ceiling.

Morning all

Hope you're all having a safe one.

Good on you Non for sensible merge advice. No point having "splitters" around these parts. People's Front of Sobriety....pah. Board I moderated on was vBulletin - merges quite possible.

Stay safe and clean my little Easter treats.

mecanix 03-31-2013 01:59 AM

Can't decide if will go and see a band play this evening , it's a 500 mile round journey i like the band but i just can't get the enthusiasm together to drive all that way , especially as it is freezing cold out there and i'm all snuggly here .

Bestwishes, M

Um....what's stopping you? You're lucky I don't live closer to IN. I'd be showing up with a ladder and some damn paint for the ceiling mural. It seems even long term abstinence hasn't tempered my penchant for impulsive flamboyance.

4 new pair of shoes...that sentence jumped out of your post before I even read the whole thing. I've said it before and I'll say it again...there just aren't many ills that a sassy pair of peeptoe platforms can't cure.

You are beatin' those addictions up like they owe you money!! You rock!
