So glad to hear it went well for you and that your husband is supportive. :)

It was a wonderful meeting. I took my first chip, and people were so welcoming and warm. Everything they said with resonated me, and I felt an overwhelming sense of relief and calm.

Also accountability. I am going back today at noon for a woman's group. My husband could not be more supportive, and will be looking after the children.

It is a good day indeed.

That makes my day!

Cool....Maybe that's where you are supposed to be....I know it's where I'm supposed to be...I went to a meeting at noon today...Must have been 60 people...Including 15 from a local rehab...We discussed step one for them....Good stuff.

You know you joined this site the same time I did C4G...I know I tried to steer you that way...I was 5 months sober in AA when I joined...And I was amazed. I fought AA with everything I had....It takes us what it takes to get there...I'm just glad you made it....Grab on to the winners...And hang on tight...It's quite a ride!

I'm so glad it went well, I went to a meeting this morning and all the people remembered my name and asked me how I was doing... What a great way to start the day... Glad you had a good meeting, Change!! Good stuff!!!

Good for you! I just stopped drinking as well. I am part of another recovery program (from sex addiction) and have never been to an AA meeting. But -- I am thinking I will probably go soon!

I never aspired to be an AA member myself but Ive found its now bringing much happiness into my life :)
