Lost the urge to drink....
 

Hi guys,

Me again, I hope you're all keeping well.

I've come home from a work related meeting tonight and realised that the urge to drink has completely gone. It feels quite strange to be honest. Usually on a friday I'm really struggling and it is a chore to get through the weekend.

When I got home around an hour ago my wife had just put the children to bed and had poured herself a glass of wine, she knows how to have 1 or 2, and I noticed that the amazing change had happened.

No urge, no craving, no envy of my wife and the sheer pleasure of having a nice cold can of diet coke from the fridge.

I feel quite lost to be perfectly honest but long may it continue.

This is a strange post for sure but I wanted to share it with you all.

Here's to a good nights sleep and another good day at work on a saturday tomorrow with no hangover.

It is, it feels like being a kid again and waiting all year for the summer school holidays and then when they arrive you dont know what to do with yourself :D

That's ace Bruno, glad to hear it. I know what you mean about the kid thing. I have definitely reverted to feeling 12 again. It's nice to get excited about doing stuff, which I can do now because I'm not drunk :) Don't feel lost, there's no end of things you can do sober x
