Lost the urge to drink....

Hi guys,

Me again, I hope you're all keeping well.

I've come home from a work related meeting tonight and realised that the urge to drink has completely gone. It feels quite strange to be honest. Usually on a friday I'm really struggling and it is a chore to get through the weekend.

When I got home around an hour ago my wife had just put the children to bed and had poured herself a glass of wine, she knows how to have 1 or 2, and I noticed that the amazing change had happened.

No urge, no craving, no envy of my wife and the sheer pleasure of having a nice cold can of diet coke from the fridge.

I feel quite lost to be perfectly honest but long may it continue.

This is a strange post for sure but I wanted to share it with you all.

Here's to a good nights sleep and another good day at work on a saturday tomorrow with no hangover.

Have a great booze free weekend.

Bruno.

It's a nice feeling when the urge goes away, isn't it?

It is, it feels like being a kid again and waiting all year for the summer school holidays and then when they arrive you dont know what to do with yourself

That's ace Bruno, glad to hear it. I know what you mean about the kid thing. I have definitely reverted to feeling 12 again. It's nice to get excited about doing stuff, which I can do now because I'm not drunk Don't feel lost, there's no end of things you can do sober x
