Iam...My husband doesn't get it either. He's a drinker but not an alcoholic. It doesn't make them bad people. They just don't understand. He is in the mind-set that I should just be able to cut down or not drink if I don't want to. I don't know if I could even explain it to him. I'm can't explain it to myself. |

I assume you have tried to quit a few times before... how did that work out? I got sober and have stayed sober in the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous, I couldn't do it alone. You will find that the degree that your wife helps or understands really isn't that important. You have the problem and it will continue to get worse unless it's treated. I treat mine with a daily dose of AA. I wish you the best. Bob R |
