I screwed up.
From smoking sigs back to smoking weed.
But i'm not defeated.
Nor high at the moment.
Back to day one.
I saw recently a post of myself on this forum from four years back.
I'm a lot wiser now.
And still as dumb LOL.

Dust yourself off and go on.

Dee74 08-12-2012 03:50 PM

Cigs always led back to weed for me...it seems so obvious to me now, I dunno why I never got it back then...

Welcome back CC :)

For me weed just kinda dropped off the map around my late twenties. Alcohol, not so much.

Smoking bad :( I know for me that smoking and drinking go totally hand in hand. I had to give up both at the same time and know that one will lead to the other.

Hope you pick yourself back up okay Comingclean x

Live2Run25 08-12-2012 06:41 PM

day 1 is a new beginning.. you got this.

sugarbear1 08-12-2012 06:48 PM

Did you learn anything from this? Just curious....

Scolova 08-12-2012 07:08 PM

I wish you the best coming_clean, weed turned on me big-time, no longer gave me that laid back high just an anxiety\panic riddled low.

@ Notmyrealname, I know that feeling all to well. I was an everyday pothead (drunk on weekends) through my twenties, then alcohol completely took over for the whole decade of my 30s.
Found out my new renter neighbors smoke pot, I nearly got high just walking onto 'my' back porch (100 feet away). I just don't have any urge for the stuff anymore.

Alcohol never been a big thing for me.
Almost got addicted to coke and pain meds tough almost a year ago.
I want my own house.
And a wife and maybe some half-screwed up kids (my half)...
And a dog.
And a an aple-tree.

I'm serious about this.

i'm becoming a young-sobriety-veteran :)

Sorry, clean, to read about your struggles. Since you're veteran to SR, and I am but a noob, I will simply wish you well.

I will be following your posts as there are some close to me (family) who continue to use marijuana. I'll be interested in reading your thoughts on addiction to pot. I don't care what enthusiasts say, I've seen some brilliant minds wasted on well... getting wasted.

Best,
~b

As an addict,
Addictive personality that is,
I will always be a noob, just like you :)
It never goes away haha.

I'm not sure if I can give you new insights on marijuana,
About two years ago my attention started shifting from coping with drugs,
To coping with life,
That is a good thing I believe.

You could go trough my threads from years back,
perhaps those can give you a bit more insight.

metta,
