Asking for your prayers
 

My dog rescue friend came and got me and my two dogs plus foster dog and we took him to her vet for his first heartworm treatment. He's supposed to be kept quiet afterward due to complications that can arise from too much exertion after the shot. We had lunch then went back to her house to visit the rest of the day. We opened the car door and foster dog jumped out and was off like a shot.:( We looked all over her neighborhood, talked to the neighbors, called the police, sheriff, shelters, local vets, and the microchip company he was registered with.

She finally had to take me and my dogs home as I wasn't equipped to stay overnight. Please pray for the safe return of little foster dog and that his running away didn't pose any threat to his health from the 'running' around he did.:( Prayers and positive thoughts are greatly appreciated. I am worried sick about him, not just the accidents that could happen but the health risks from his over-exertion after his first heartworm treatment.

Oh, that's horrible. I was just thinking about him getting those shots & wondered when it would be. I am so very sorry & can imagine how you're all feeling. Prayers going up for foster dog and you. Let us know.

Still havent' found him.:( They left food out in their yard last night and it was gone this morning so am hoping it was him that ate it. they are putting up fliers this morning in the area. I am so worried cause he was out all night in the rain and storms. I love him like he was my own dog and am so worried for him.:( Thank you all for your prayers. Please keep praying for his safe return and good health. :grouphug:
