I've set my quit date for jan 2nd.......... dont have alot of booze left in the house...........so when they are gone, I'm giving it my all frankly I dont know why the sam H I just dont pour them out when I get home from work....... spent the last 2 weeks (forcing myself) not to have a drink during the day (successfully) and blew it on (of all days) Christmas am so livid with myself its unbeliveable |

You definetly need to have some type of plan. Have you spoken to your doctor? Have you thought about AA? I don't go to AA, but many people here do and their experience with it seems to be very positive. What are you going to do when you get the urge to drink? I found that I had to change my entire routine while at home. |
Welcome to SR din Some good advice here already - I always recommend people see their doctor, and do think about a face to face support group in addition to SR. Hope to see you around some more D |

Hi i had to change what was inside to be able to help myself which is why i go to AA, if i could have stopped without doing so i would have done that very thing in the last 20 years before...good to see you reaching out for help:-) So what New years eve is gonna be a big one then;-) |
