If she's sick with an infection then you might not be "curing" her with the electrolytes in the water, but you're definitely giving her what her body needs to stay healthy while the infection is fought. Dry food does absorb some water from the cat's diet. See if she doesn't take to kibble that's a bit soggy. Every little drop helps.

Keep her warm and calm. And you stay sober! You're a saint for being so concerned for this cat. Give yourself some good TLC too!

Good to hear both you and the Kitty are OK. I have been following this thread all night.
Just goes to show you can handle things without having to drink.

sorry if i am being a bit obvious, but why don't you take the kitten to the vets?

Angie bless your heart for taking care of the kitten. I just love animals of any kind so I'm rooting for you and the feline to make it. Don't drink even though I understand the stress you're under (then you'll both be dehydrated). Take care and please let us know how the kitten (and you) are doing. :ghug3
