Hello Hi This is my first time on the site...day 3 of not drinking. Day 3 is always a danger for me. I've often relapsed here and I want to get past it. I know that rewards are a good idea but I can't think what to do. Would appreciate any ideas? BB |
nice to meet you, byronbay. congrats on your sober days. have you thought about aa or any other face to face support? keep posting! hugs, k |
Hello BB, welcome to SR. Ever thought about checking out an AA meeting? Going to meetings helped me get through days 1-3, and every day after that. The program continues to keep me sober and it's given me an amazing life. Hope you find something that works for you, and that you put together a plan for your recovery. |
Hi there BB Keep coming back here to post and read, it really helps!! :c009: |
Welcome. :) No magic words here to get you through Day 3 -- except I know how good it felt to wake up and tell everyone I was on Day 4. Keep posting. |
Take it one hour or even one minute at a time. Stay away from alcohol at all costs. Drink lots of water and juices. B vitamins help too. YOu can do this.:ghug3 |
hi BB im from australia too, its so good to see more aussies getting in touch with themselves here least is right vit b, our bodies get extremely depleted of it an it helps to keep depression at bay, gives you energy for your recovery time. give the AA hotline a buzz someone will most likely come help you out with support to a meeting & though it may feel odd & strange it will help. at the least they will ph u back |
Hi and Welcome, I had trouble with Day 3 too and then with Week 3. As others have said, it's just a question of getting through it. You're doing great. Keep reading and posting. |
Welcome to SR! What helped me a lot was coming to this site everyday and posting how I was feeling. I was able to get everything out and get the support I needed. We are all here for the same reasons... so keep reading and posting! :) You CAN do this!!! |
BB stay strong don't let previous relapses on day 3 be anything but inspiration and strength to getting you on to day 4, you can do it! |
