welcome harley!

good for you for reaching out--that's an important step. there's lots of love and wisdom on these threads. there are a bunch of us moms with kids--several of whom have 4yos--on the moms keeping sane thread. come visit. some of us are relatively new and we are by no means perfect (particularly yours truly), but we can relate.

i'm sober since july 24 and have three kids ages 6 and under. i drank to sleep too. (and for just about any other reason i could come up with) but having a nightcap (or 8) was truly my method of operation.

read all you can about alcoholism online or otherwise. try to make it to a meeting or several to see if they are for you. keep coming back. when you get a craving, come here and post. addiction is a devious foe--be prepared. keep coming back. you are worth it!

triggers for me:

people/places/things

that was it for me in a nutshell. stopped hanging with old friends and started hanging with sober people. changed cell phone numbers. changed residents.
