Jumping into this class!

Day one. Optimistic and hopeful but physically and mentally spent.

Happy new year to all from Australia. Really hope everyone has a positive and sober day 🙂

Welcome everyone!! January 1, 2016 was my last day one, if you’re just joining or coming back make this your last day one! SR is an incredibly supportive site, and helped me get and stay sober. Read and post daily!

Wishing you and your family a wonderful new year! End of Day 413 for me. Good night from Seattle.

zenithboy88 01-01-2023 02:22 AM

Good morning,
I pledge an alcohol free day today

RunnerF 01-01-2023 03:52 AM

Best wishes to all who have just joined or returned. You have come to a very special and supportive place. All here share a common struggle that can be overcome but only oneself can do the work. Recovering from addiction is not something that one can achieve by “ cheating on the test”. It requires honesty, diligence and self care despite what happens around you.

Pledging for today. Day 91. Trying to get through wife not being supportive of my sobriety in particular and me in general. Get the subconscious message she doesn’t like me or being with me.

I guess time will tell if we can weather the storm of my being sober and boring.

Alpine 01-01-2023 04:01 AM

In the middle of the month I will reach 8 months. Congratulations to everyone here with your sober journey. And Runner..I highly doubt you being sober = you being boring. People that drink I find are boring because it is the same ole same ole..And you don't get to know the true person.

RunnerF 01-01-2023 06:10 AM

Alpine congratulations on 8 months and your thoughtful and kind support. It is very much appreciated.

Welcome Difd to Soberrecovery and the December Class. Great start on sobriety with day 4 clean.

Staying close to SR has helped me stay sober for 4+ months. Post/reply/engage SR daily as a good sober program of action.
Everybody has something to offer other addicts in early recovery. Be it one day sober or decades your words can help another member out of addiction/alcoholism. Make it a productive and pleasant day.

@Erratic is a good example of reading even when she(?) was not up to posting. Thats called "Not Quitting Recovery No Matter What" :). it takes a strong person to stick close to recovery even when things aren't quite sorted out yet. Glad to have back on the posting side of recovery Erratic.

Vcat = Suze, yes :) helped me discover a new toy the TAG. like this @Zencat Now I have a message popup that's impossible to miss. With a "tag" Tag someone and they will get a notice that you replied to their post to let them know you want further conversation' I'm going to post a tutoral in the https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums...oubleshooting/. I like BBcoding HTML, CSS coding as a hobby.Fun stuff for me YEA! Now I can annoy peeps with tags LOL. No I'll keep it in check
<p>sly smile</p>

Welcome new and old to the Class group all

(to change font size as I did type out this: text here text here text here text here size comes as: 1 2 3 4 5. 5 it think is large enough to get the message across, may be not? Below size 7 LOL

Day 1

I'm ready to commit. If I don't get it right this time I'm going to die. I'm in a lot of pain down my right hand side but I'm too scared to go to the doctors. I'm hoping for a miracle and that miracle needs to start today.

Welcome back, dear Tony. :) ❤️

JustTony - glad to see you.
I hope you will be able to have a check at the doctor's, it always pays to get "Just the facts".

Happy New Year! I cannot believe it’s 2023!

It felt nice to sleep in and wake up without a hangover! I was also able to drive home last night, after leaving my friends house. It felt so good knowing if I happened to go through a road block, I could smile because I’m sober. Removing alcohol from my life has been a blessing.

Committed to another sober day on day 26 ☺️
