My toddler woke me up at 3:51 am and I wasn't able to fall asleep again. Getting ready for the gym and aiming for a nice long workout today! I've finally got a day to myself to devote to my online hospice training and also to put away the Christmas stuff that has been sitting in a pile in the living room since last week. I was so lonely yesterday, call with lawyer's, someone inquiring how the kids are doing with 2 different homes, long conversation with the parents. I was so tempted, argued with myself, and finnally came here. Read the posts, did some cost benefit analysis; that drinking won't help, I would be drinking alone anyway, and the morning would be f****d. I now understand triggers can come in different ways. Thank you for all your posts here. You all are the best sponsors one can find. I am in for another 24 of soberness and cigarette freedom. |

Thank you my friend. It’s so good to have a choice today. I felt blown around constantly and under people’s thumbs when I was drinking. Sure, some of that was real, but a lot of it was feeling like a raw nerve from all the alcohol. Everything got to me, and if there was ever a peaceful time I’d fret until it wasn’t. Happy to be sober today and have more strength and calm, with the option of creating more! I have a long way to go but I’m making progress:) Hugs XxRed |
