I am on Day 7. I have joined a monthly class 4 or 5 times in ths past. 6 months is my record in a class. For now, my goal is to beat that record and go from there. Hello to my fellow October classmates. Cairns87, I wonder if we are distant relatives. I am also a Cairns! |

Hi, Octsobers! I am from October 2012 class and I'd like to welcome everyone who's chosen to make this beautiful month the start of a new life. Now, looking back almost at six years ago I can't imagine how would my life have turned out and where would I have been if I hadn't found SR back then. Sober or not life is going to throw some challenges at us. I am glad am facing them with clear head. And at the moment I finally can wrap my mind around how to transform fear into excitement. Best wishes to all. |
Hi all... I’ve been a frequent lurker but have not posted until today. My story with alcohol revolves around occasional binges followed by days of anxiety and worry. These days of anxiety have continued to get worse and I’ve made the determination that I need to stop. It’s difficult to admit that it is as much of an issue as it is when 9 out of 10 times I drink with no problems. It’s the rare occurrence where I go overboard that hurts me. So here I am! I’d like to join the October group if you’ll have me. |
I'm a former October repeater--welcome to all, returning and new :) |
I would like to be a part of this new beginning Oct 1 Day one Lets do this |
I’m in. I was too late for the September class but did the weekend class a week or so ago and found it hugely supportive and encouraging. Day 15 for me would love to make it through to November a day at a time of course. Good luck to all. |

I hope I can pick up where I left off and just go back to abstinence without the temporary insomnia symptoms. I imagine I don't have to start that clock over after relapsing for two days. I am going to reread your post on a Recovery Plan now. |
Sounds like we have a strong October 1 contingency... We can all celebrate 30 days sober on Halloween! :grouphug: |
