Happy 4th of July, emme!:sparkler
All is good! Glad that you posted in our December '17 Class. We have come a long way. I have reached the point that the AV is rarely there and weak. So easy to ignore it now.
Hope everyone else finds time to stop by and say hello.
:wavey:Hello, to you, too, Dee! Thanks for everything you do!♡

I'm just popping in to say hello and happy 4th July to Chloe Rose and the rest of you of course. I hope you all have an amazing day. xx

PalmerSage 07-15-2019 08:27 AM

Hey guys - popping in to say hi, doing well at (almost) 19 months sober! It really is amazing how much things have changed in such a relatively short period of time, isn't it? :)

ChloeRose63 07-15-2019 09:04 AM

Glad to see you all "popping in" and I hope you are enjoying your summertime!:shine8pl::bbq
We have got a "heatwave" here and I am eating lots of watermelon and staying cool!:c005:

Hi everyone! So....I had one glass of wine. Along with a friend. On a little girls’ get-away. Could have had more, she ordered more, I had no desire. Nothing happened, wasn’t an earth shattering moment. Don’t have plans to do it again. Not sure how to process this. Do I start back at day one? Is this a major slip up? Doesn’t feel like one but maybe I’m just kidding myself. Any words or wisdom or shared experience? Thanks in advance and much appreciated.

ChloeRose63 07-24-2019 11:32 AM

Good to see you, MaggieJ! Glad you are with us! No, you don't need to start again. We have all come so far and are in a stronger mental state when it come to understanding how excessive drinking can effect our lives. Did that glass of wine bring you back to the day in December 2017 that you first began your journey? Did you feel powerless? Give yourself credit for not being that person but, for being stronger and wiser. You will always be a product of the great December '17 class! Onward.....

Great perspective. Thank you. No, it didn’t bring me back. It really didn’t do much. I didn’t feel powerless. I felt very “in control” as she continued to order more and I had no interest. I haven’t thought of it like this. I’ve grown, and learned, and AM a different person. Even if I would have loved it, I don’t think I would have ordered a second. Thank you for this point of view.

The times when I drank again and drank like a gentleman and nothing happened where pretty dangerous for me.

I can draw a straight line from every one of those occasions to full blown relapses later.

Be smarter than me - accept it as a warning, and ensure it stays a once only one off blip Maggie.

Rededicate yourself to the life you want :)

Thank you, Dee, for these sensible words.

:sprinklerHappy August to my wonderful friends of the December 2017 Class!
It is still Summertime...and time for all the State and County Fairs! The weather is perfect! Hope you are all doing well!:bbj:

Just a quick "Hello" to my lovely classmates.
Really going to need you all since it will be a year since my mother's death. Feeling quite sad and lost. Time has gone by so fast. I cannot believe it is almost October.
Thanks for being there for me. Together we are strong! ♡CR

Dee74 09-24-2019 08:14 PM

Thinking of you Chloe x

It’s cooling down here and I love it :) Not quite ready for snow though, and supposedly we might get some in a couple of weeks. I hope you’re doing well. I’m still missing my mom too, it will be 2 years in January. I’m here if you ever want to talk.

Hi everyone else :) I hope everyone is doing well.
