plenny ~ I was on another recovery site before SR, on and off for a couple of years, just a pop-in.....one night I was drunk in the chat room.....boy oh boy did I get hammered by the people in the room. Awful stuff that frightened me to be honest.

This site....because of the founder and the admin and the mods....let's face it....because of Dee.....is our safe place, as Caramel said. Sure we need to follow the rules....but that is a pleasure, because we are so cared for here. This place has been my home....my cyberhome....for over 5 years. :)

I'm so sorry Neoo- I can't even imagine the feelings you have right now. This is a lot to take in and process. I hope you can find some support for you and your family...

Really fighting the urge to compulsively overeat right now. I thought I was in an okay mood until the boys woke up and started being loud right from the get-go. I don't know about you but loud noises, shreiking and screaming really don't work for me at 7/8 in the morning. I aksed them to go in the basement for now and I have my earplugs in.

I just want to eat bread and cupcakes. I hate this feeling.
I have got to push through it and it's so hard.

I might just make my protein shake right now so I can at least feel a sense of fullness. I mean I didn't eat dinner (was too full) so I am probably really hungry.

Thanks for letting me talk about all of this. I wish there was a site like this for us food addicts. I need it so badly...

Love, when I was diagnosed with bone cancer, years ago, I did that too....I think one of the things you realise is that you are fallible...and in case anything happens, well, you want your affairs in order. It's one of the grown-up parts of life that are so not fun that a lot of us don't do it until we get a fright...

Maybe you could talk to your mum...tell her how afraid you are....it might help to talk about it more if you can love. :hug: ♥♥♥

I could not do well with that either Sunflowerlife my love....in fact, my biggest problem here continues to be the noise. This house is right on the street....I need windows open....and the floorboards are 150 years old....nightmare.

We keep saying that we can do a thread for this, eating issues....we can....if there isn't already one...but if you want to love, we could....there are at least a half a dozen of us from this thread that would join you. :hug:

Found a box of old papers/letters/poems from when I lived in Florida all alone. It was an awful time for me. Going to purge what doesn't serve me anymore. Too many bad memories and it's time to let go of them. I wish I had a metal trashcan so I could burn everything..
I'm sorry you have so much noise where you live. Have you tried earplugs? They are a life saver for me. Muffle the sound just enough..sometimes I wear my headphones with music playing ON TOP of the earplugs. Yeah nuts, I know!!

I could not survive without ear plugs....I wear them every night of my life....I even buy them from Aus because I can't get the ones here that fit my little ears properly. :)

Haha, we are soul sisters then. I buy them in an extra large container from Amazon! I use a white noise machine for sleep :)

I buy them on Amazon too! My husband snores, and I can't sleep without them.
