I just consulted Dr Google again with the words "Can't undo my bra without severe pain". Looks like a lot of people are suffering with some very similar conditions (Rotator cuff injury or Frozen Shoulder). Some of their comments are exactly like what I am experiencing so I think I need to stop catastrophising (is this even a word??).

Bobbieka 04-15-2018 02:32 AM

I think it’s a definite recovery word. Hope you get relief soon. Maybe you’re not meant to go on vacation. Last time didn’t you rupture an ear drum? Hope you can enjoy the rest of your trip.

Hahaha yes that's correct Bobbie. I did rupture an eardrum hitting the water after being launched from a giant blow up bouncy pillow. I'm a klutz.
Not quite sure how I managed this injury, it just seemed to happen. I'm just going to focus on being grateful I am on vacation and more importantly that I am sober.

Boy oh boy is catastrophising a word. If you look it up in the Oxford Australian Dictionary there is a picture of me. :)

There is no point worrying love....it's probably a virus or something.
Stay hydrated and get your husband to do your bra...really, not being silly here.
And if you have Voltaren emugel with you, that will help without harming in any way. OTC and safe.

And HI. SO so so so so so so happy to see you. Glad your SR break was short. :)
Love you and thank you. ♥♥

Dr Google is a busy guy :). Sorry you’ve got some pain, Mish, but congrats on all the sober days. That’s awesome!

Getting ready to put the startin fluid on. I’ve been extremely tired the past few days. I’ve got a few things to do today, but nothing crazy. Eating well and keeping hydrated will hopefully help. I am considering experimenting with no caffeine for a bit (gasp!). We’ll see.

Enjoy the day everyone!

Kiki, it took us a long time of "off-and-on" cleaning out. We'd get rid of a lot of stuff, and thought we needed what was left. We'd go back later and realize we had not touched some of the stuff we "needed" in the last 6 months or a year, so more stuff went. It's a process, to be sure. Some things are heavy with memories and hard to dispose of - some things you outgrow, but wish you hadn't - etc. Good luck!

Morning!!

Well the ice saga continues here. Grateful to be home today that’s for sure! No plans at all - probably just some laundry and food prep.

Mish - I’m a patient of Dr. Google as well. I know he’s a quack but I do it anyways. Ugh. Lol. Hope you find answers and relief soon ❤️

BBG - we used to be cable free -now we have it and it’s so not worth it you’re right

Well I’m off. Don’t judge but I have to jog around my house for a while to get my steps in. Lol. Happy Sunday!!

Morning everyone! I am the catastrophizer of ALL catastrophizers! Lol! It’s called catastrophic thinking and most alcoholics have it! Alcoholics are typically very fear based people which probably explains why we drank!

Hang in there MISH!!! I remember a few years ago I had a pain under my armpit while at the beach and was SURE it was a sign of eminent death! I let it ruin 2 days of my vacation. You’re fine! Just get to the doctor when you get back so you can unsnap your bra again! Lol! OR you could just go bra-less! :lmao

MITA: when I do things I want them done NOW! I need to learn to pace myself! I swear I’m my own worst enemy. :a043: lol

Have a nice day everyone! I’m chairing an AA meeting at 6:00 tonight. Otherwise...not doing much except chores around the house. Fun!

beerbgone 04-15-2018 09:11 AM

Mornin' everybody.

beerbgone 04-15-2018 09:22 AM

Is Casey missing again???

venuscat 04-15-2018 09:36 AM

This is a very good point you make BBG.....what is it, two days now?

Oh Casey, where for art thou? Get you butt back here tout de suite, pretty please. :) ♥♥

i HATE it when that happens!

I have the rotator cuff thing. I wear a brace when I sleep that really helps.

venuscat 04-15-2018 09:51 AM

👋 Suze, happy Sunday!

Man they really need to change the Food Network to the Booze Network. I’m getting to where I won’t let my daughter watch it anymore. They really push the notion that you can’t have a get together without liquor even a kids birthday party.

I was paaing our state Art Gallery recently...down a lane betwixt it and the Museum. There is a bistro there...lovely day. The blackboard (the one that usually has menu specials?) read..'The Gallery- 1% art, 99% wine'.

PhoenixJ 04-15-2018 02:32 PM

Paaing...a new word that means 'typing passing without correcting'.

venuscat 04-15-2018 04:08 PM

Call The Oxford..... :)

Yep, it's insane. The entire way they draw people into restaurants and galleries is with alcohol. It works unfortunately. People like free booze and they usually offer at least one free glass of something. :(

beerbgone 04-15-2018 06:24 PM

Nitey night friends! Thanks for keeping me sober today!!!

CaseyW 04-15-2018 06:51 PM

Hey Marchers. Sorry I've been absent the last few days. All is good here, just took some offline time. But I need to stay connected here, I know it's good for me.

I'll try to catch up on the last couple of days posts in a bit, but I hope everyone is doing well.

venuscat 04-15-2018 07:30 PM

:) Casey.....sorry for being a pain love.....but but but I am SO good at it..... ;) :)

Glad you are OK.

PeacefulRain 04-15-2018 09:16 PM
