Had the busiest, blessed weekend. Family filled. All three grand daughters were here Saturday night. My sister was in town, we had a Choo Choo bday party for my great nephew, a Christening for my great niece, and birthday celebration for my dad who turned 75. Just going to say, sobriety rocks for this alcoholic.

Have a great day, awesome people!

I’m home & the drunk driving class SUCKED! 3 solid days of extremely graphic & SAD videos of dead people killed by drunk drivers, lectures, movies, attorneys talking....you name it! It was AWFUL! I am physically and emotionally exhausted! I’m soooo glad it’s all over!!!

There were 36 people in my class and I was the only person that admitted I was an alcoholic! Oh well. After it was over I drove straight to an AA meeting to see all my friends & it was so great to be back with people who understand!

100 days tomorrow! I feel grateful & will sleep like a baby tonight!!!

Did I mention my roommate snored like a rhinoceros and I couldn’t sleep for 3 nights? Oh well...better than jail!

So it’s all over (the legal stuff) and I can move on with my life now & just focus on my continued sobriety! I’m gonna go eat my delicious carryout food I just got. I’m so hungry! The food was terrible & I was hungry for 3 days. Soooo good to be home! I’m gonna try to catch up on the posts soon. Love you all!!!

Wo, what an experience honey. And freaking proud of you.....how sad that so many of those 36 people will go home and continue on their merry ways.....and oh yeah, that meeting and the food must have been so so good. And sleeping in your own bed in your own home.....just divine huh?

Onward together. ♥♥♥

Thank you Bobbie so much! I haven't been to a meeting in quite a while.....:c024:

I really can’t believe I’ve been sober for 100 days. I’m so grateful!!!

CAUGHT UP ON THE POSTS!

Pelagic: I read that you were on the road for 500 miles last week? That's alot of driving! I don't like driving that far. Bird watching? That's so cool! Do you take photos? I have a friend that take's AMAZING photos of birds! Maybe I will post some later....

Samantha: I took ALOT away from the class this weekend! Me driving my car around after drinking was very selfish. I thought I was only hurting MYSELF (and I didn't care about ME) but I was putting the lives of innocent people in danger. Never again! I will not be that selfish again and I will not drink again one day at a time! Love you girl!

Suze: Your posts are always so love-filled! And they fill my heart! Thank you!!! How are you today?

Purplrks: I agree with what others said! Don't quit before the miracle happens. Youre amazing!

MITA: You are so right! We ARE stronger together! How did you like the Masters? And you travel ALOT! Do you like traveling? Sorry things are still a little shaky at home. That's hard. I think it's great that you are learning about alcoholism. It's so much more than "not drinking". That never lasted for me. I have to work on the root causes of my alcoholism to stay sober.

Dee: CONGRATS ON 11 YEARS SOBER!!! Amazing!!! :You_Rock_ Thanks for everything you do for us!!!

Bobbie: What will you be doing at the Women's prison? Taking AA meetings in? Youre amazing!!! How is Nathan? It sounds like you had an amazing weekend! The promises are coming true for you and you are showing us ALL what an amazing life we can have sober! Aren't you coming up on 2 years???

Fradley: Congrats on 34 months!!! Wowza!!!

Lillian: I always admire your perspective on things too!!! How was your staycation? Happier not being at work, eh? Yeah that totally makes sense! lol. You seem to have a very demanding job!

Phoenix: I really wish I could come see your artwork in person! I love photography! I want to see THAT too! I agree with your view on "drawing strength from people" in AA! I NEED AA!

Pelagic: I didn't realize you lived in Cincinnati!

Casey: I remember when I took my first drink too! I fell down a flight of stairs and vomited all over the place. I shoulda taken the hint the FIRST time that alcohol would never be good for me. :scared:

Caramel: How have you been doing? :-)

Thirteenth: I am always so happy when you check in.

BBG: How are you gonna save $100 per month? Are you just getting rid of cable all together? (I later read that you DID get rid of cable. Maybe once our kids are out of the house we will too!) Would you believe I have never watched BBT? What is wrong with me? haha.

PeacefulRain: How was lego land??? Update: Sounds like it was a great time!!!

Missy7: Good to see you! I think it's funny when people call AA a cult. It's so far from a cult! It's a fellowship of men and women who come together to support eachother and break free of addiction. If everyone in the world worked the 12 steps it would be such an amazing world. I think the people who say AA is a cult just use that as an excuse to keep drinking. I am glad you like AA and are involved! I love it! That being said...AA is not the only way to stay sober. Different things work for different people and I respect that!!!

Trachemys: HEY!!! Great to see you!

Mish: Come back soon! We will miss you!

beerbgone 04-09-2018 01:00 PM

Kiki congrats on 100 days.

The $100 a month is what I was paying for cable. I'm now cable free but I have streaming devices that allow me to have everything I had with cable. I'm not missing anything. Just not paying a cable bill!!!

Of course the cost of the streaming devices have to come out of the savings. I think about $35 per TV and I have 3.

KiKi0615 04-09-2018 01:09 PM

thanks BBG!!!

KiKi0615 04-09-2018 01:11 PM

Off to shop with daughter! :-)

That’s great BBG! The only problem I can foresee if we cancel cable is we are HUGE sports watchers & a lot of the sports we watch are on cable. Do you watch sports?

PhoenixJ 04-09-2018 03:14 PM

Brill post Kiki.

Holy cow!! This is an EPIC post. We have not had one like this in quite some time!! Congrats on the 100 days, Kiki. I can’t wait to see the Post when you hit 200 days!! :)

Sitting in my hotel room now - having a luke warm Diet Pepsi. Going to head out and grab a quick dinner and make it an early night.

I’m feeling pretty good overall. Got upgraded on the second leg of my trip, which is nice. Hope to hit the hotel gym in the a.m.

beerbgone 04-09-2018 04:33 PM

Kiki my sports watching is college football almost exclusively. I do have several ESPN channels though and all the networks. So I don't think even the most avid sports fan would be lacking.

So far I've failed to mention that you must have an internet connection! Since you're on here I guess that's no problem! LOL

Purplrks3647 04-09-2018 05:53 PM

Congrats Kiki on 100 days and thanks for the awesome post :)

Thanks again Bobbie for suggesting a meeting ~ went to a meditation meeting earlier.

Sober today so hopefully that'll make for a better tomorrow....thanks again everyone for being here :grouphug:

PeacefulRain 04-09-2018 05:54 PM

I’ve been so busy I hadn’t had the time to really catch up. It was nice to have the time to sit down and read through everything! Enjoy your dinner! :-)

Hmmm.....so cool you can still watch sports! I want to cut the cable cord now! Just between cable and cell phones for 5 people, we pay $750 per month! :scared:

Hey PR! Night BBG and everyone! I’m going to bed too!

Bobbieka 04-09-2018 08:56 PM

Night guys. Congratulations on 100 days, Kiki!!! So freaking awesome!

Missy7 04-09-2018 09:07 PM

Hi guys. Monday night. I made it through the weekend. Phwew. There was agony involved. We went to an event near our drinking spots. I had to get out of there.

So I was cranky and depressed. But I made all the meetings and had a good day at work.

I hope you are all well,

Caramel 04-09-2018 10:13 PM

KiKi - I'm doing well thank you; pleased to know you are also.

Great team here - all for one and one for all :grouphug:

ManInTheArena 04-10-2018 04:17 AM

Morning all. It’s great to see all the people here. It makes me happy :)

The 3 hour time change is messing with me. Of all the things that are unhealthy about travelling, I think forcing your body into a big time change is probably the worst.

Still, I won’t drink today. I am enjoying getting to be AF.

Be good - enjoy the day - don’t drink!!

CaseyW 04-10-2018 06:13 AM

Wake up, Hissy Fitters!

Work. Laundry. Video games. Not drinking. That's the plan for today.

beerbgone 04-10-2018 07:19 AM

Mornin' all. Gettin' close to the bottom of the startin' fluid pot. Time to fire up for sausage 'n biscuit!!!
