Hello all. Checking in. No changes here. Ds doing well, not in pain, so no now we just need to keep him from overdoing it for another 6 weeks, lol.

Arbor, I hope your little one gets over the flu quiz. Yes., the media does highlight the worst cases. I think it’s partly to promote vaccine for the flu. The more who get it, the more everyone is protected to some degree. I haven’t gotten around to mine. I should...they offer them everywhere.

Hope you are feeling better, Suze. Are you?

Hello to everyone else!

Hi phoebe love.

Oh gosh, 6 weeks huh. Hmm. Not going to be easy....I know you can do it though. :)

I am better, well my jaw is. I dislocated my thumb last night. :(
It went back in, but it hurts like heck and it's bruised and swollen.
And yes, I am going to talk to a doctor about this.
And I just bought proper Calcium with D.

Not to worry, I am happy. Nick and I are celebrating 4 months of marriage today. :)

Normally don’t get one, but seems silly not to now. My oldest and wife had one already so we are good there. Perhaps it’s mild as my Youngest did have the shot months ago. They say it helps. I sometimes think the media likes to hype up the worst case scenario this time of year. As a parent you certainly dont like to hear about them.

This year's shot seems to be only 10% effective as it is not specific to the circulating strains; the CDC says that they are working on a more comprehensive vaccine.

I have heard that if you have had the vaccine, it will help to reduce the severity of the symptoms.

I hope you're feeling better Leigh. And the littlest Arbor as well. And phoebe's 'little' guy too.

Late this morning I learned that I'd lost a family member so dear to me. It's interesting that in the wee hours I'd had the most vivid dream about her. Eyes sparkling and clear. Voice and laugh strong. I was still thinking of it when I woke. Fortunately my last visit with her this past August was so pleasant. Shortly thereafter came the diagnosis.
A life well lived it was. We're all striving for that aren't we. A worthy goal. Feeling a bit at loose ends but looking forward to the journey over (northern Georgia) to celebrate her life.

Hug those you love and be sure they know it. :)

Mark, I’m very sorry for your loss.

phoebe64 01-24-2018 07:12 PM

Leigh, I didn’t know you were sick. I hope you get well soon.

V, ouch on the thumb! Mine are arthritic, and it’s awful when those joints are sore. You use those opposing thumbs for everything! Hope it’s better soon.

Sorry for your loss Mark.

Hope you guys feel better soon Leigh and Suze.
Same for your little one, Arbor.

I'm fine, just bruised. It's nothing compared to my jaw. And I will talk to a docotor about this next week...my bones and I have a long way to go together and I need to do better.

I am so very sorry dear Mark ~ was it your gran?
Amazing that you had that dream....she came to see you maybe. Kind of beautiful I think. May this beautiful lady rest in peace.

Thinking of you and your family. Safe journey as well love. ♥
