Safe travels, PR! |
Yeah, that Casey dude is okay I guess... :D |
Here I was thinking I was oh-so-brave walking down the street in this weather (paying my rent) and I fell. I slipped on the ice....no traction could save me (I have Docs on) and I kind of fell on my face. My nose hurts. My knees hurt too. But no real damage. Far out this stuff is scary.....the ice I mean. :( |

Yeah, that Casey dude is okay I guess... :D That Casey dude forestalled the inevitable by trading tonight's shift for one Thursday night. That just means I'll have my long day on Thursday instead. Plan for tonight? Gonna cook some chicken fajitas, watch some TV and play some Splatoon. I'm getting addicted to that game. Beats the pants out of drinking. |
Well, that freaking sucks, Suze. Hope you heal fast. Leaving here soon. Hope you all have a great evening/day. Will try and check in later. |
Now I have to look up Splatoon. |
I fell down on the ice last Tuesday, Venus. Caught myself with my right hand so didn't get all scratched up like you did, but I did hurt my wrist. I couldn't carry big trays at work for a few days, had to play the feel-sorry-for-the-old-man card and get the young kids at work to help me out. |
It's technically Splatoon 2. It's a great Nintendo game where you play as this half-squid, half-human kid. Basically you and three other "inklings" face off against another team of four. Goal is to cover as much of a battlefield in ink (hence the being a squid) as possible in three minutes. The team with the higher percentage of ink coverage wins. It's very vibrant and colorful and the games are not so long that it's an endurance challenge. What's great about Nintendo online games like this is that unlike all the war shooters and stuff on other systems, Nintendo doesn't allow voice chat so there's no hearing racist or homophobic teenagers berate you when you do something wrong. Or when you do something right. Or when you just exist. |
V - that really sucks. Sending positive thoughts for a quick recovery. I’m a faller too. Like a baby Bambi. Every single freaking year. Well hopefully not this year. Enjoy your evening Casey. We are an Xbox house and I’ve heard people say some crazy things while playing games. Now DH keeps it turned off. Oh and for what it’s worth....you’re alright. Lol Well I have been thinking I’m getting sick for a couple days but now it’s official - I’m tired, achy, snotty (and not just my attitude) - meh. Well off to have dinner. |

The woman that I dated for the longest in my life has six years sober today. We were both very active in our addictions in the years we dated so it's been cool to witness her turn her life around. She helps a lot of other people like us today. Very inspiring. If she can do it, I can too. |
You can indeed dear Casey. ♥ and Sam....baby Bambi.....lordy....I laughed and almost cried at the same time. Yeah....I'm clumsy.....and I tried so hard to be careful. :( I am sore as now....mostly my nose. Who the heck falls on their nose? (I have a small nose...so what the...why didn't I break my glasses?) |
That sounds like something I would do, Suze......even without the icy surface...yikes! Hope you're doing okay :) |
It's Jammies and BBT time friends. Nighty nite! |
rest up Suze :) D |
Hi Marchketeers. Am still very, deeply affected by son's marriage. It adds to my motivation not to repeat my historical reactions to stress (booze, isolating) but get up and keep moving. The online provider I use- blocked any messages being sent, they explained 'suspicious activity'. So after hours of trying anything at that with a human, I was told to speak to an 'expert' would cost $50. They took out double this, still did not give any reasons. I found a human, who apparently uses their job as online support to being an excellent way to speak English. 3 emails later- they put me onto a lawyer (for an extra fee), so I plastered them with emails (about 5). The problem has been fixed- with 500 words describing why the money went to where ever it went to. STILL with no explanations s to why. Lovely day here- about 21C. Predication are in 2 days- the temp will double. My little friend has, with some support from me (and lots of non men- I pointed out why I could only do so much)is going to a very intense recovery - 3-7 month, program |
Not feeling great....going to bed. s |
Geez I hope you get all the IT sorted PJ. Glad it's not too hot for you tho :) D |
Sleep well Suze. D |
Hi gang - all is well here. Happy to be warmer than most. Starting week 2 of my running experiment. There is a 5k here at the end of Feb. - maybe try that. Bobbie, our transition has been pretty good - still not quite the social network we had back east, but getting better all the time. Most importantly, I feel like I am "home". V - rest up and get better. Casey - glad your old friend is doing so well, and that you are too. We are all sure you are an okay dude. PJ - that whole thing "suspicious activity" thing sounds very suspicious!! What the heck?! Everyone else, have a great night!! And great to have you back, Applekat!! |
Night, guys. Talk to you tomorrow. |
Goodnight Marchers. I'm splatooned out and sober. Thanks to all who participated in International Casey Appreciation Day. Go ahead and put it on your calendars for January 3, 2019. |
Startin' fluid time! :23: This "Kitty Acts Like a Boss" meme reminds me of our brat cat....he's 2 now; he lives at Mom's (she got him as a bribe to get me to stop drinking so much) ~ When thinking of a name, one of our local radio personalities hosts the "Cat Named Mo Show" so.....we now have our own 'Cat named Moe'! :kitty: https://s18.postimg.org/6yrpx2689/Ki...Hate-_Meme.jpg |
Speaking of which....SBK and Mo are filling in again this morning for Mike Calta; if anyone wants to listen it's 102.5 The Bone or Theboneonline.com :D |
Morning! Slept like crap and feel like crap. But hey at least they match! I’m off today, thank goodness. Going to just take it easy. Might watch the Jem and the Holograms Movie and take a nap. Perhaps not in that order. Lol Will be around. Can’t even imagine being sick and hungover this morning. Grateful for that. Day three of Dry January. |

Totally agree Sam. I looked up the definition of Yabbering and laughed...that's definitely our Casey. |
