Thanks for the new thread Dee!

Have a great day all!

Gilmer 10-27-2017 02:05 AM

You too, SG!

FBL 10-27-2017 03:37 AM

Thanks for the fresh thread, Dee!

My avi today is the only known photo of my teenage alter-ego, Mongo. Every year around Halloween he would come out of hiding and scare the neighbor kids. I had to banish him back to the jungle after he nearly gave one of the grown neighbor ladies a heart attack!

Have a great Friday, all!

Gilmer 10-27-2017 04:27 AM

I had a neurotic dog once who would have had a stroke barking her head off at Mongo!

Gilmer, re Greek vs. Hebrew -- they are so different! And to try both! That's a wallopping big lift. & it's not just the difficulty of new language-learning, it's the 'feel' of each one-- maybe you just don't like Greek much?

Anyway, I'm glad to hear you sounding cheerful today.

I've had an abrupt mood shift myself over the last few days, towards the good. Which is good! But it's a little abrupt and just a tiny bit extreme, so I'm determined to be quiet today.

:wavey:

Gilmer 10-27-2017 09:22 AM

Yes, they are different! I never in a million years thought I’d ever be looking back fondly at Hebrew!

I actually started out loving Greek, because the basics seemed so easy and pleasant! HA!

In all fairness, the professor did say in a recent lecture that mastery only comes through many years of study. The whole of my instruction is being crammed into a whopping 9 months!

So there you go!

Thank you all for your indulgence; I am officially done grousing about it! :)

I’m glad you’re feeling good, Cour. I assume by being quiet you mean “skulking around the grounds with a Mona Lisa smile!” :)

Fran is scheduled to come home this coming Tuesday! The boss is making all the necessary preparations.

Have a great weekend, gang!

That’s really cool, CK!

Gilmer 10-29-2017 07:08 AM

I must be a very sick pup. I laugh at fictional horror movies, especially the gory ones.

stargazer016 10-29-2017 08:26 AM

That's great news FBL!

Awesome pumpkin CK!

That's why we love you Gilmer...

No new flies in my corner of the web. I'm looking forward to hearing how Fran makes the big trip home :)

JL2014 10-30-2017 05:09 PM

Had a good weekend.
Hoping good week for us.
Hugs !:)

FBL 10-31-2017 03:25 AM

Well, it was 116 days ago today that we nearly lost Fran in that horrific accident. The necessary ramps and equipment have been installed and, if all goes according to plan, she should be coming home later today! Thanks for all the positive thoughts and prayers here and please keep them coming in hopes that she will one day walk again.

Happy Halloween, all!
