It's not so bad, really. I'm just being careful - I don't think that I could tolerate any 'action' today.

Gilmer 08-24-2017 09:51 AM

Ha! The first thing I did afterward was get some Popeye's fried chicken and a biscuit! :lmao

I suffered no ill effects!

Morning Julyers

It's Friday morning and when I finish work today I have 4 days off for bank holiday weekend.

Hi Pete, happy first birthday to your little one. Stay close, Pete.

Have a good day :grouphug:

Gilmer 08-25-2017 02:27 PM

How are you doing today, LuLu?

Croutie 08-25-2017 05:07 PM

(((Lovely Leigh)))

Hello Julyers..
I'm reading more than posting these days...busy helping out at our business.
New territory for me...DH and I at our advanced age are having to help out.
All of this resulting from DS3's issues. But, what's a Soul to do; we have to have shelter and food.
Sorry to always be complaining or having bad memories to share. I guess, unfortunately , that's where we find our selves. Will try to be more positive and supportive in the future, I promise. Xx
My love and support to you all, my dear friends.
Croutie

Gilmer 08-25-2017 07:01 PM

I'm so sorry, Croutie.

Help me, please. Came honest with work.

Gilmer 08-25-2017 08:11 PM

That took a lot of courage and integrity, LuLu.

What happened?

Dee74 08-25-2017 08:17 PM

We are absolutely here for you LuLu ~ and yes, that did take a great deal of courage.

How can we help love? ♥

LuLu13 08-26-2017 04:59 AM

I drank all week and was not able to work I need to dump what is left.

Gilmer 08-26-2017 05:40 AM

I'm sorry, LuLu. Yes, dump it.

I'm glad you're continuing to check in with us and resisting the desire to hide and isolate.

When you are able to focus your mind, go ahead and make a plan.

Think of concrete ways you can keep yourself from drinking.

Just the act of listing new behaviors will give you a structure in which to succeed. In order to really get sober you have to take action--do certain things and avoid certain other things. The concrete list will focus your will.

Why do you want to get sober?

Have you tried AA or another face to face support group?

Is rehab an option?
