Brynn I love you, you are my heroine! Your strength is always so amazing xoxo

You ladies are also my heroines! I know you can quit cigs too!

Copper, we need to pull it together haha! ;) just kidding, so proud of you too xx

Feeling better about the ex situation today, my inmates have been so helpful in giving advice, like a bunch of big brothers. Funny that my romance specialists are murderers and bank robbers ;)

Jen, advice can come from everyone and anyone. You know what they say, opinions are like ***holes, everybody has one.
HAHA - I couldn't resist. I crack myself up. :headbange
I am glad you are feeling better about the situation with your ex.

Yeah, this pathetic dumbass of a junkie needs to "pull it together"
Thanks for the reminder

Kudos to all those with insurmountable strength

You're none of those things Copper :)

I didn't mean it that way, I relapsed too xoxo

Hugs copper ❤️
Dees right...you're none of those things! That's your AV talking...it wants you to believe you are a pathetic junkie so you'll keep feeding the beast. It will say anything to get what it wants....don't listen to the lies. Tell your beast that you don't drink/use anymore and move on. And Remember, we are in YOUR corner, sweetie!
Xoxo

Jen...I'm glad to hear you're feeling better about your ex! You deserve someone who respects you and treats you like a queen! Don't settle for anything less! (And I guess I qualify as a romance specialist since I'm a felon! Ha!). ;)
Xoxo

Copper none of us have insurmountable strength. We are human and we screw up. And sometimes we want to just give up. We muddle through, somehow, though.

BBQBiker 04-20-2015 07:12 PM

Goodnight Dear Litter.
Love you all.
Hold down the fort.

brynn 04-20-2015 07:34 PM

Night sis B!

Glad I've got y'all to muddle through with!

Day 140. Now that we're past 100, I often lose lose count. 140 jumped out for some reason.
Had a rough start to the week, but things smoothed out once I snuck out of work early and went bass fishing. There's a secret, semi hidden pond up in some rocky hills ten minutes from where I work. You have to hike in a mile to get to it on a trail that switches back up into the hills. The fishing was hot- lots of bass. Stood hip deep in the pond and tules and took in the scene. It's beautiful and quiet. Cows were free range grazing all around. Heads down among the scrub forest.
Solitude. I thumbed through SR at one point during the trip. Thought of how long ago December and drinking feels. Not long in terms of the calendar and the spinning Earth, but it seems like a long time.
Drinking was a thirst that was never satisfied. Life is more satisfying now.

Hi, gang,Just a quick post to check in. Things really getting intense around here. Not a lot of free time. Mom may be entering end of life phase. Doctors are drawing straws on what to do to stabilize her bp/heart rate. She sleeps a lot but very fitful. Losing touch with day/night distinctions. But we're still doing what we can to make life as comfortable and meaningful for her. I sure feel like having a drink just to escape for a few hours, but I haven't succumbed to that urge. I keep reminding myself what the result of that temporary fix would bring.
Sending positive thoughts to you all.
P.

A drink not only wouldn't be worth it, it would make your already difficult situation worse. Hoping you make it through this tough time.

Day 140 for me today. I haven't been keeping track, really, either, but I do have a sobriety counter app I look at now and again.

Creek - at this point, I'm hoping Mom is comfortable as possible until the end. Sending you good vibes and strength.

Sunking - sounds like you had a lovely day. And congrats on your 140.

Icky weather here yesterday and today. So I think I'll stay inside and clean and bake. Until I go to work at 1.

BBQBiker 04-21-2015 05:08 AM

Good Morning Lovely Littermates.
As long as we are counting - day 137 for we Royal Veggie Triplets.
SunKing - that fishing escape sounds like heaven.
Creek - I am sending you a big hug.
Marty - make the best of your inside day. I just smoked my last cig. Here we go!
Copper - I hope you are doing better this morning.
Brynn, I hope the leg pain is easing.
Have a great Tuesday Litter!

Dee74 04-21-2015 05:15 AM

Its inspirational to me how you've accepted this responsibility Creek.
Take some down time and recharge your batteries by all means, but keep telling that drinking voice where to go :).

Congratulations Marty and NusGnik :)

have a good day everyone :)
