Good to see you today.

Just a quick hello. MB so good to hear from you and that you're doing well remaining sober. Sorry to hear about bulimia though. I kind of suffer from binge eating too. I've transferred my alcohol anxiety relieving tics to eating. But it happens maybe only once a week thankfully. It's more around sugar I have this. Maple syrup for example.

I feel like I should pop in here more often since I have 18 months sobriety.

Dee, it's true I haven't seen you often, something about a house? Not sure what it is but if you're looking for one, I'll put a prayer out for you. Or selling your house. ;)

Take care everyone,

Dottie

Dee,
Is it that hard to find digs in Oz? Hang in there bud!

Dg,
Yeah I got the reference. The 60s were my teen years, the 70s my twenties, the 80s my 30s, the 90s . . . you get it. Pink Floyd wasn't an oldie for me. I remember listening to them when they were new.

Hey TR, Drake, and VC!

Congrats on 18 months Dottie!

Got my days and night mixed up again. It is 3:15 AM, and my norm has been Sleepy at 4, then up at noon. But that works out with the daytime heat here. Today it was 80s and gorgeous weather. That is like spooky weird weather for Mid July in Louisiana. Triple digits is more normal. I'm down to the last 8 episodes of Dexter. There are 96 and I just finished 88. That'd one of the reasons I've been up late.

Have a sober day, every day, and smile to yourself with what you've each accomplished. In the military vernacular I learned to use in my career so well, y'all have kicked azz, and took names in your vendetta with alcohol. Time for a nice cold drink, make mine diet Coke!

Hello Itchy my love ♥

Cold drink....um, not so much. We are going through a record cold spell.

Huge hug for you,

V xx ♥

Hi everyone

SR sent me a message telling me I had posted for a while... that hasn't happened before ... so I figured I had better post.

I had a HECTIC 2 week holiday ..lots of travelling for kids sport (unreliable access to internet) ...spectating at minus 3 degrees celcius ... I detest the cold so not bing able to feel my feet whilst on the Technical Bench ... an experience.
:abcj:

Back at work and I am taking on an executive role for a few weeks ... out of the comfort zone of my cruisy little class .. so far so good

I am looking forward to spending a weekend at home and getting the housework done.

I hope you are all well... and I hope to catch up on your posts real soon.

Dee74 07-17-2014 01:47 AM

I have special needs though Itch...little or no stairs, no baths, easy to get into shower, near amenities and support.

It's harder than it was 7 years ago last time I moved thats for sure. Still hopeful tho :)

Good to see you LSC :)

Awesome to see you LSC my love. How funny that you got that message....see, we need you here. ♥

Hope all goes well with the executive role. :)

Yes Dee, it's a hard slog to find the right place when there are special requirements.
But you will. I just know that you will find somewhere that is wonderful.
All of our love and prayers for you here. ♥

FBL 07-17-2014 03:56 AM

Dee, hope you get settled soon.

Venus, glad to see you posting regular again.

Itch, you'll have to let us know what you think of the final episode of Dexter...no spoilers here:)

Have a great Thursday, overs!

Hi guys

Itchy, hubby got someone else to take the Atlanta meetings, so we had no reason to head south.

Andy hugs back atcha sweetie x

Dee I really hope you find something permanent soon, I understand the upheaval of house moves and temporary lodgings which are a nightmare in themselves, but to be physically restricted and in pain at the same time as it all, I am in awe you can still come here and keep calm! ( I'd be like ' troubles?? You think you got troubles??? I got troubles! yeesh! You should want your troubles you see mine!') I have absolutely no idea why I turned into a Jewish New York Mother there!!! But joking apart, Good luck x

Ok folks have to go, things to do people to see Yada Yada

DG0409 07-17-2014 07:56 AM

Itchy- I only watched the first few seasons of Dexter, but really liked it. I lost where I was and never bothered to figure out where I quit watching it and pick it back up again though. Actually, that happened with a lot of shows that I liked.

Dee- I hope you find the perfect place.

And a cup of hot chocolate for our dear Venus- http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/dr...-chocolate.gif

feeling-good 07-17-2014 11:00 AM

Thanks for the new thread Dee! I hope the right property comes up very soon for you :)

Venus - so sorry to hear about the hernia - total bummer sweetie. I hope the surgery date comes round quickly!

My chiropractor did some more adjustments and I am going back next week - just keeping my fingers crossed that I sleep well tonight! :)

Itchy 07-17-2014 10:00 PM

V!
Hey kiddo, we drank beer on the ski slopes and when it was cold I'd just drink it at cellar temp, kind of like the old pubs in the UK. Hot drinks are too EZ. Coffee, Tea, Chai . . . Any news on the surgery?

Dee,
While I knew your issues, it never occurred to me what a pain it must be to find a place. I simply don't think in terms of access, especially the bath! Yep, that complicates things. Especially houses and vehicles. Thanks for the reality check! Consider it cashed.

LSC,
I've never gotten one of those emails. I wonder why not? :lmao Welcome back!

FBL,
That should be in the next few days. No spoilers from me either.

Toots,
Gotcha', I bet you were disappointed.

DG,
I could ask you a question which is a change that happened just about in the middle. But that itself would be a spoiler. However, if it weren't for Amazon Prime videos, Netflix, etc. I could rewatch everything I fell asleep on in the middle of movies and shows, while I was still drinking and passing out in the evenings in front of the "Boob Tube." But now with all the available content online, I don't have the time!

FG,
Hope you do get some rest.

I am bundled up in my heavy terry bathrobe in the deep South on a cool July night. IT IS FREAKIN 67°F RIGHT NOW! Outside! And raining as it has been all day. Thanks for sending some relief down here FBL!

Treerat66 07-17-2014 11:43 PM

Good morning Overs.

Thunder and rain with breakfast, now the sun is shining. :)

FBL 07-18-2014 03:30 AM

tgirl, congrats on 13 months sober today!

Itch, glad I could be of service. An overnight temp of 67 here would be a heat wave...we're at 53 this am and I LOVE IT:)

Have a great Friday, overs!
