no need to apologise Jeni.
Families are really hard - at least mine is :)

Jeni26 07-31-2012 12:37 AM

Thanks Dee. You are a rock xxx

hypochondriac 07-31-2012 11:15 AM

Don't worry about it Jeni, it's what we're here for. Glad you are feeling a bit more positive x

Jeni26 07-31-2012 11:20 AM

Thanks Hypo. How are you doing today?x

hypochondriac 07-31-2012 11:36 AM

Alright cheers. Still ridiculously exhausted! I used to be all energy and on the go when I was drinking, despite feeling rough a lot of the time, but now I'm just knackered. I think doing less might be making me feel a bit lethargic but I just can't seem to muster up any motivation :(

Jeni26 07-31-2012 11:43 AM

Maybe we ought to encourage each other to take up exercise for real?
I am sooo lazy, but I know I would feel better if I did something. It has to be something fun though as I would get easily demotivated if I was with serious fitness types.
Shame you don't live closer, I'd challenge you to a game of badminton!xx

hypochondriac 07-31-2012 12:25 PM

Ooh no, I don't do games, especially those hitting things with rackets games. Thanks for the offer though :) The only exercise I would be remotely interested in taking up is fencing, and there's a really good teacher up here. I was supposed to be doing it with a friend but see backed out and I have been too scared to go to the regular classes on my own. I will summon some courage eventually. They tend not to be annoying sporty types doing that too :). :kickbutt

Jeni26 07-31-2012 12:34 PM

Fencing? Is that a bit dangerous?
Badminton is fun, I used to play it with the kids til they got too good for me!

I'm not sure there is anything else that interests me in the slightest! I really have got to make myself do something though! X

hypochondriac 07-31-2012 01:59 PM

Nah, there's little rubber bits on the end of the foils, and you get to wear a rather attractive breastplate :) Only slight worry I had was that the dominant leg is the one I have trouble with. Maybe it'd be good for it. A friend of mine does it and her right leg is quite a bit larger than her left!

I like cycling too but all the people I know who are into it are blokes who spend most of their time flaunting their new expensive gear.

Maybe we could write a list of possible exercise we could do and work through it til something sticks?

Jeni26 07-31-2012 02:09 PM

Yeah, I have really got to get in shape! I work so hard and for long hours term time, and then go to meetings 3 nights a week, there really is no time.
But I have absolutely NO excuse at the moment, and I know it would really help my state of mind and general health.
I'm a great one for talking myself out of anything!
Cycling-that's ok, and you could do it on your own. I like cycling too. Last time I went out on a bike, I had the kids with me, and when I stopped for a rest my daughter complained that we had travelled such a little distance, we could still see our house from where we were!!

hypochondriac 07-31-2012 02:27 PM

Haha. My ex used to take the p;ss out of me cos when I went for a 'run' I'd be back in the house in 5 minutes.

This'll prob sound really lame but I fancy going to aerobics. But not any of that fancy zumba stuff they do now, but the 80's/Jane Fonda sort that they used to do in church halls, just like AA meetings! x

Jeni26 07-31-2012 02:31 PM

Hey aerobics is really really dangerous!! I bought one of those DVDs a few years ago, that girl who used to introduce Big Brother, can't remember her name, and I twisted my knee prancing round the living room!!
Never again! At least with cycling, we're sitting down!!x

hypochondriac 07-31-2012 03:24 PM

Haha Jeni :) x I guess I am just attracted to dangerous sporting activities ;)

Jeni26 07-31-2012 03:31 PM

You're just plain ridiculously wildly crazy!!

Aerobics?! You might as well throw yourself off a cliff!! X

Jeni26 08-01-2012 02:57 PM

Hi guys, just checking in. Everything good here.
Hope all is well with you all xxx

hypochondriac 08-01-2012 03:02 PM

Hey Jeni :) Think it's just you and me again!

Where is everyone? :( x

Jeni26 08-01-2012 03:11 PM

No idea!
Maybe they're all hiding from us? Started a new thread and not invited us?!
Just got home from a meeting with my sponsor, feeling really good tonight. How are you doing?xx

hypochondriac 08-01-2012 03:15 PM

Maybe they just don't love us anymore :(

I'm eating ice cream and watching Father Ted, so all good this end :)

That's ace you got time to see your sponsor! How goes it? Are you starting the steps? x

Jeni26 08-01-2012 03:21 PM

On step 3. It was a really interesting discussion. I really get so much from talking to other alcoholics, they're so honest and open.
The ice cream sounds great. Done any exercise today?
I thought about swimming and it tired me out somewhat!
Xxx
