I'm doing ok, but last couple days have been very rough. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer (as you may know, my mom just finished chemo for colon cancer). I made 2, count them 2, separate trips to the ER. My 11yr old DD fell at dance and broke her collar bone. Couple hrs later my 13yr old DD fell and messed up her wrist. Nothing broke, but she has to wear a splint for 2 weeks.

but life goes on...

((HFA)), sorry about your dad. Your 2 daughter's both going to the ER is just crazy! That will be a story to tell at every Thanksgiving! I hope they heal quickly my friend:)

All good here! I still have zero cravings. I am wondering if one day I will just wake up and find myself in the liquor store buying one of everything! LOL! This is so weird! Again I am grateful and a little shocked at how easy it has been. I guess it was a long hard road getting here though! I just wish I wouldn't have wasted so much of my life drinking it away. Oh well this is my path...:)

Well, I just went back and I was wrong. I made it to 117 days and drank on 118 days. So 2 more days and I break my record!

Beth - Do I congratulate you for beating your previous sober record on Saturday or Sunday? And will you post the day you do?

Good question Lyddie, I drank late in the night on my 118 day, so I am going to go with Sunday Being my official record at 119 days!

I have a had a really miserable cold with a wicked bad sore throat the past week. I thought I would somehow be immune to bad colds once I was sober and healthy but sadly NO, that's not true. I did have some moments of wishing for a hot toddy with bourbon, brandy or whatever to kill the pain. But no way I am going back to the past. The thought of having another Day One always stops the wishful thinking.

((Lyddie)) - I hope you feel better soon! Hopefully you'll be immune for the rest of the season after this. Oh and about the craving.... I was talking to my friend the other day and I made an analogy between drinking and the flu. I said drinking was like offering me a cup of the yummy FLU Virus. It made me so sick I would throw up, get the sweats, exhausted, and feel just completely miserable! Oh and the cure for that flu virus of course was more flu in a glass! I cannot believe how many times I choose to be sick over the last 30 years! It's crazy when you think about it.

Hey Guys I hope everyone is well. I took DD trick or treating for the first time at the Boo-levard on Friday. She had a blast and everyone stopped to comment on her costume. She was so well behaved I was one proud mama.

She has a party at school tomorrow and I signed up to make banana bread. I have to get on that today!

Looks like we will be moving back to Atl sooner than later. It makes me sad because we were just starting to sprinkle the seeds here. I had my mom go look at a house I found on internet. It is amazing and close to my mom. We will see. Her dad informed me that he wants to date one day and can't do it with us living in the same house. I cannot afford a decent place here on my own (he knows this) and I don't have enough reason to stay. Her dad has no problem with us leaving. So sad for DD but I figure we should leave before he finds someone and totally blows her off. He has so much anger, I cannot bare to be around his negativity. He will always be welcomed in my home to see DD anytime. Oh well God has a plan.

Beth - Are you strong enough in your sobriety to move back? I was hoping you would have more time here to "settle in yourself" before moving. Since your ex is being so difficult than it would probably be better if you go sooner rather than later. Will you be home for Christmas?
