Cat's Rule

Love the kitty stories and pics...and the hits just keep on coming...

I hear ya's on the preference to play with bags or boxes over any kind of kitty toy, along with the preference to drink stagnant water instead of fresh.

Sir Raven would prefer to drink out of a container that's been sitting in the kitchen sink for the past 24 hours than drink fresh water from his glass.

Well, he got a taste of kitty karma today - literally...he jumped up on the toilet to quench his thirst but lost his footing and fell in. I almost pee'd my pants, I was laughing so hard.

Obviously I couldn't use the toilet cuz he was in it. It was the freakin' funniest thing - why do we not have cameras when we most need them?

Of course, who would ever think that there'd be a reason to carry a camera into the bathroom with them? And if someone did, would I even want to know them?

I love my little guy...he's so demented.

Bam...I told you before...you could live vicariously through us, but Hevyn's made an offer you can't refuse! Of course, fed-ex or ups won't ship them, so...

When I die, I want to come back as a cat. What a life...

And I swear, if there are alien beings amongst us, don't you think they're looking down on us humans thinking that we're morons?

Honestly, if they were watching any dog owner taking their dog for a walk, equipped with a plastic bag and actually picking up their dog's poop and putting it in the bag, don't you think those aliens would be wondering who's actually running the show, the dog or the owner?

Personally, before I even have a cup of coffee in the morning, I fill Raven's water glass (remember, it can't be a bowl - unless of course it's a toilet bowl since this evening's incident - haha). I also clean his litter box out and fill both his food dishes - all before I've even had a cup of coffee.

He's worth it though. I do believe that animals are really angels dressed in fur...

I'm moving in, 'kay Fandy?

Gawd, what I would've given to have that granite seat in my shower when I was drinking. Heck, I want it now and I'm not drinking. Although if I had a shower seat I'd be pruned for life...I'd never come out.

But I ask you this, Fandy...do they make tempur-pedic shower seats???

Toronto (and fandy-cat) - Please do not tell Raven about the toilet paper pleasure. He hasn't discovered that (yet).

I guess I have this to look forward to as I'm sure it's just a matter of time...

Cmc - the bank robber joke reminds me of that Dumbest Criminals show that airs once in a while. Anyone seen it? Even the cops were laughing.

Zip, silly...that long-haired girl wasn't cousin it...cousin it wore a hat...

Where's Ozzy? And Dee? It's early Aussie time...hmmm.

I'm thinking a whiner chat room is a good idea...although I've never even used the other chat room...

But I still like the idea. What'dya think?

I am gonna turn in. Long day today, but productive.

Good night, Hevyn...good night Hevyn's kitties...mmwwaahh!

I am completely exhausted now.
It was a true "cloak and dagger" day at school today,
due to the issue I spoke of yesterday.

Speaking to the union district delegate
who gave me explicit directions
on how to act innocent and dumb
as to what's going on
and to whom I should report this puter finding to.

Writing a letter to the principal detailing the finding
with complete innocence and ignorance.

Showing said letter to building delegate - just in case
Cuz district delegate said I *may* need her later if asked to speak to anyone about the issue at all!

All of this done without the school's computers, phones, and done *outside* the building. Can't trust them - everything *can* be traced. And there are even cameras in the classrooms and the hallways!

We are living in 1984! :scorebad

Much more, but, you get the picture, I'm sure...:a108:

I wrote to district delegate telling him I do NOT want to be in this school anymore!
I do NOT like this crap! I signed on to teach children, not to play cloak and dagger.
My nerves do NOT handle this crappola well...

Going to be. Hope this is a good whine!
Keeping you informed, as requested. It sucks....

Shalom!

silly me HB,

i just wasn't thinking...

teach, hope the espionage is over soon,

from said letter...

got'a hand it to you for doing said letter on the sly

Hevyn 05-15-2010 05:29 AM

Teach - so true - more than you signed on for. Who would ever think teaching would involve all that drama. I would never be any good at handling that sort of thing - I commend you.

Oz - You are a good man for staying strong & being there for your loved ones.

Least - I hope today finds you feeling better, no headache.

HB - All felines are flourishing. I hope I can find worthy parents when the time comes.

Ann - will chipmunks eat impatiens? Something sucked the life out of a few of mine. Or, it's the Caddyshack gopher paying a visit.

HumbleBee 05-15-2010 05:46 AM

Good morning, whiners.

What a beautiful morning here in the Live Free or Day state. Sun is beaming through the windows.

I have lots of windows in my house which I love for the light but really dislike for the cleaning - Ann, please send your condo window washers my way, 'kay?

Teach, my sentiments exactly - I signed on to teach children, not to play cloak and dagger. It's what I've been thinking while reading about the undergound CSI that's going on. If what you're doing will get the bums out of there, it'll be worth the agony for the benefit of the children in the end. Stay strong. We're here for you.

Least - is there an echo in here? I think you said you felt that exact same way about a week ago....Maybe too much cleaning?

******{Oz}}}} prayers are with you and your family.http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/4...essherself.gifwe love you.

Hevyn - I think your momma cat told another cat that we've been talking. A *big* grey cat was clawing at my screen door this morning. Opened it and she just stood there, meowing (and then hissed at Raven).

She either ate the dog next door (like Oz said last week) or she's *with child* -er *children* - I leave a bowl of food out for the strays - this cat's a newcomer and well, special...uh oh...

least 05-15-2010 05:51 AM

Headache still here. Might just go back to bed for a while since I was up for several hours in the middle of the night...

:rotfxko

J - have you or Mr. Hev posted anything about the kitties being available? I think it's safe for them to leave momma cat between 8-12 weeks. Is that correct fellow kitty whiners?

As tough as it might be to let them go, the food budget will increase substantially if kept too long, as well as the cost for shots, etc. :yikes: and they're (unfortunately, but true) easier to be adopted as kittens than later on as you know.

I want them all! But I might have that same situation going on here with Mother Jones who showed up this morning (I've already named her - uh oh - I'm in deep doo-doo).

There it is again!! I better get my hearing checked. Dang!

(you're hilarious) http://www.hardforum.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

BTW, fellow whiners...on another subject...did anyone notice that the wft2 smiley is missing? I use that alot. Maybe its batteries ran out???

:wtf2

Bamboozle 05-15-2010 06:11 AM

Thanks for the offer, Hevyn. :)

HB, I'm the kind of person who'd take a camera into the bathroom. :theyareon

Teach, you may have earned the whine of the week with that one. I'm sorry you're involved. Stay strong.

(((all whiners)))

Bam, smile...
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/6712/smileycamera.gif guess where i'm taking this from?? LOL.

If for nothing but some ooh's and aah's, here's a cute, yet educational, video about kitten growth in a nutshell. v v

I err on the side of caution in taking internet med advice, but things like this have saved me a small fortune in vet bills...this one goes on to talk about how kittens begin navigating around and finding their sea legs, so to speak...too cute!
