Good morning class. Enough of being the class clown for me. I have been thinking of moderation so I am going back to the newcomers threads to help me realize that is not the way to go. All of your examples are helping me with this too and for that I am grateful. |

Moderation would never work for me Fub. When I was 13 I started raiding my parents liquor cabinet. I would pour a couple of ounces of everything that was in there into an empty 12 oz coke bottle. What a mix! Sure got you wasted though. And that's why I drank...to get wasted. Maybe you can 'moderate' yourself Fub. I've been trying my whole life to do that and if I was able to...I wouldn't be here. It's kinda like potato chips or cashews. I can't have just one. By the way..... You and Jsml..... Congratulations On One Year Sober !! Well Done !! |

Good morning class. Thanks for the congrats. I will take it since technically I have been sober for the year. I did have those few drunks in Cuba but not enough to get buzzed. Since my definition of sober is not getting drunk I am there although a lot of people here would not agree with that definition, which is fine since what anybody else thinks has got little to do with me. :) |

Well I was going to wait and post a big congratulations to JS tomorrow as that is his official one year mark. Since the gun has been jumped I will say :bday7 :a122: to you JS as the only active participant of our class to make it the whole year without one " adult beverage" Keep up the good work on your quest. We have all been through a lot together and that is what makes this place special to me. :) |

Good morning class. I am back to where I have to find some activities to occupy my 16 hours of free time everyday. The gym and walking take up maybe 4 hours. I have just purchased a book on advanced thumb twiddling which will likely end up like the recovery books that I purchased::: unread. :) I am sooooo L A Z Y. |

Good morning class. I have decided not to try and renegotiate my ultimatum contract this year. I don't see how any good can come from having a couple of beers anyways so there is no use in bothering to be bothered. Hope you all feel the same way.
