Been on phone with Ins co I have to take daughter to hosp after she gets home for her neck/back. grrrr, gonna be a long night at hosp. Oh well, it could be worse. Glad i'm not messed up and unable to do all this stuff.
So why are you anxious Stoney? Maybe from lack of sleep?

stone 06-03-2009 07:53 AM

Hi Donna, have fun at the Hospital. :)

The anxiety might be from lack of sleep, yea.

I might "do a Ro" and have a nap. :)

Believe808 06-03-2009 08:02 AM

Not fun at hospital Stoney...Don't know about where you live, but here in emergency room you wait over 2 hrs just to be seen. ugh!!!
No nap for me. But have fun sleeping, just dont nap too long or you'll have another bad night sleeping. Vicious cycle, you know.

No third step prayer for me. Prolly couldnt hurt.
I dont really like to speak but I dont say no either.

Bring lots of reading material and snacks to the hospital, Donna! And a pillow or headphones if you want to snooze while you wait.

Yeah Paul don't pull a Ro too long - Donna is right - you'll mess your circadian system up again.

I'm having an okay day. Getting lots done at work but I am, admittedly, feeling like a grinch these last days. Don't have a lot of serenity, find that I am judging myself and others pretty harshly. Meeting last night, again tonight and tomorrow. I'll talk to my sponsor about this. I have homework that a friend in the program assigned and I am not wanting to do it!

What the heck is wrong with the forum? Things are timing out on me and pages are taking forever to load - some of the smilies aren't animated - anyone else having this problem? Or is it my PC?

Believe808 06-03-2009 11:14 AM

My computer is very slow Ro, it might be SR not sure. Sorry you don't have much serenity today, want some of mine. I did good with hospital, just got home, nothing wrong just muscle spasms. 300.00 co pay later. Oh well, another bill that will just sit and wait to be paid.
Another friend from program went out yesterday and ended up with a 2nd DUI, I get so mad at these people. I am really glad I am not using and was able to do this for my daughter. Been on the phone with Ins Co most of morning, got to have some Donna time now.
Stoney, you been sleeping long enough, WAKE UP!!!

stone 06-03-2009 11:37 AM

I was sneezing like a maniac this morning, I used the netti pot and it helped a lot.

Going to a meeting tomorrow with Paul (if he remembers!).

Sometimes you have to look for your higher power within yourself.

Hi Scoob, I don't think of it as outside of myself, even the BB says

We found the Great Reality deep down within us. In the last analysis it is only there that He may be found.

Personally I wouldn't call it "He".

I think I need to relax about it, keep doing what I am doing. I think "letting go" is a good start. :)

Thanks scoob. Hey you mentioned reading something earlier - it reminded me of when I listened to an audio book - Scar Tissue by the guy from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It really triggered me to hear him talk about his drug use - and I never did hard drugs, EVER! I started having using dreams and pictured myself snorting powder - I had to stop listening to it.

Hi Rolo! :)

Hi Ninja Turtle!

OMG You are quoting the BB, I don't even do that. IO is gonna be sooooo proud of you Stoney.

And what is a Netti Pot, I have to get use to all these terms.

Believe808 06-03-2009 12:27 PM

Ro do you know what a Netti Pot is?

Done with hospital, glad they didn't give her any drugs to take, its always an issue with me when they are around house, that was my HP stepping in.:) Just heating pad and motrin/aleve.

scoob 06-03-2009 12:41 PM

Quit picking apart my deep thought. :cries:

:c031:

The audio book has moved on from the guys heroin story. I was shocked at how similar the thought pattern was. It didn't matter the danger he was putting his life in when heroin meant more.

The philosphy on this book is that you are not an incurable addict, you are someone who used alcohol to mask the unhappiness or imbalance in yourself and when you find what was making you drink and fix it, you can become a regular person who doesn't need to drink.
