So, supposedly the attorney drafted the paperwork amendment removing the offending language but keeping me on the deed. Or so the Realtor just called and said. We haven't heard from the attorney today.

We did that stupid check thing this afternoon as previously mentioned... and supposedly the mortgage peeps are getting the paperwork surrounding that mysterious lien from 1997 straightened out.

I guess some progress has been made today but I'm still pretty non plusses with the whole situation.

Closing is now allegedly on Tuesday next week.
