Thanks FDM.

After today will be three weeks. Starting to feel more like myself, counselling is helping me see how I use weed to push away uncomfortable thoughts and feelings. That makes things seem more scary and dangerous. I now realise that staying sober will build up my confidence that I can cope with things.

Thanks Freeowl. Day 22, and anxiety has really started to decrease. Sleep still not perfect, and vivid dreams most nights. But have lost a bit of my gut and feeling a lot happier in myself.

Hope you’re doing well?

These words are gold, I'm happy to see you're still clean Ronantian, congrats! ☼

Thanks CK. Feels like I’ve really turned a corner, I’ve been off it for longer before, but always with the belief that I could start again and not use every day. This time is different because I know that I need to stay off for good. Even said no in my dream last night 🤣.

Day 23 and the best night’s sleep in weeks.

You're doing so well, Ronantian. There are so many benefits to being drug-free. Keep it going!

Day 24, slept pretty well again. Still have a bit of anxiety in the mornings, but overall I’m in a much happier place.

Hope everyone is doing well today?

Just back from a long walk in the woods looking for grouse with my dog. Pretty windy, lots of cover, one flush but didn't even get a shot off before he was gone.

But - AWESOME to be doing things again... like.... DOING things. Engaging in life.

Whaddya know???

Weed-Free is the way to BE!!!

That’s fantastic freeowl. It definitely feels so much better to be weed free.

yes.... absolutely!

Day 28, feel pretty much back to myself. Not feeling anxious, sleeping better, and generally enjoying life. In the past I’d think that I need to be high to ‘really’ enjoy things. Now I’m not waiting on the chemicals and just enjoying things for what they are.

Canadian Koala 10-29-2021 04:44 AM

Congrats on 4 weeks Ronantian.
Your short term memory will improve a lot without weed, keep the good work ☼

Belated Congrats Ronantian :)

Thanks everyone. 1 month sober today. Feel proud that I’ve made it this far. I’ve been here before, but never with the intention of staying off for good. Still get some anxious feelings and the like. However, overall I’m in a far better place and starting to believe that I can cope with life again.
