I have added completing a daily gratitude list to my recovery plan as I heard an impressive statistic today that writing a daily gratitude list increases the liklihood of remaining sober by 25%...so here goes... 1. I am grateful for having a comfortable, safe, stable home 2. I am grateful that I have such a warm, caring and supportive partner 3. I am grateful for my weekly therapy sessions 4. I am grateful that I found the strength to confront my issues with alcohol 5. I am grateful that I am now taking better care of myself 1) I am grateful to be alive 2) I am grateful for my brain 3) I am grateful for my intuition and insight 4) I am grateful for my soul 5) I am grateful to be an inclusive and tolerant person 6) I am grateful to be alcohol free today 7) I am grateful for my past and present 8) I am grateful I am choosy about whom I frequent 9) I am grateful I like being alone but am socially confident when out 10) I am grateful for the good people in my life 11) I am grateful for my addiction as facing it, means I am finally facing myself 12) I am grateful for music, musicians and the way it makes me feel 13) I am grateful for nature, animals and the beautiful country I live in 14) I am grateful I am me, flawed and a little broken but "me" nonetheless 15) I am grateful for the future I can now have if I get off my butt and go get it on 1-1-17 |
