Lost my oldest canine companion last night.
 

She's the grand old red-headed gal with the white face in my signature picture, Miss Shiloh.

Making that decision is the hardest thing I ever have to do with any of my beloved dogs and cats over the years.

But it really is a small price to pay for the years of devotion, love, and sunshine that they bring into my life.

I had 14 wonderful years with her.

Her and Ku'a not quite two years ago when Ku'a was the latest addition.

so sorry for your loss Freedom. I definitely know how you feel. Had to put my canine friend of 13 years down the day after I got out of detox......detox was easier.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so hard to lose a member of the family who has given unconditional love and brought so much joy. Miss Shiloh's life was better because of you and she returned that favor. Now she is playing with the others at Rainbow Bridge and is free of all pain. ((((HUGS))))

Goldens are just the sweetest doggies ever....I've had two of them.

I know your heart is aching today and will be for awhile. Just remember that she'll be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge!

Sorry Freedom it is the hardest part of having a pet.

I'm so glad that you are able to reflect on the wonderful times you had with Miss Shiloh at this difficult time. I wish sometimes that I was more like my dogs. They are excellent examples on how to be a better human. I'll bet that Miss Shiloh was a shining example.

I lost my best friend too. 3 years ago. His name was BEAR. He brought so much joy to me. He was killed by pack of other dogs, but still made it home. ..I will miss him forever.Im so sorry, it made me cry to read this.Still hurts so bad.THANK GOD FOR DOGGIE HEAVEN
